James - A solid middle ground of jokes and summarizing the film, chill but also goofy too, absolutely fits as like a “leader” of the trio Chelsea - Keeps things casual and down to earth, some funny jokes here and there but the most “played-straight” of them all (Not a complaint btw) Zoran - Focuses on jokes and laughs with slight tangents and a lot of edits, but still keeps things informative about what he’s covering I love how each of them have their own unique styles when it comes to how they do kill counts, and Ik it’s just for small segments but they really come to shine in them. Would love to see more of stuff like this! (I probably did a bad job putting their styles into words but you probably get what I mean lol)
What if the glitch murder entity is a play on the idea of nonconsenual filming, which is a nod to the other segments and explains why Wendy asks "why can't I film you?"
That is a good thought, this movie was released in 2012 before that became *way* more of an issue, like it is today, but taking that interp def gives it more an interesting angle

I love the different styles of writing and humour the three of you each bring! James is pretty standard, we're all used to it at this point, Zoran is very innocent and nerdy, and Chelsea draws things out JUST long enough for it to be absurdist and go past awkward and into comedy again. There's always been a difference, but it's so much more tangible feeling here with the ability to directly contrast and I adore it.
The tag team Kill Count is something I never realized I truly needed. Hope this continues for the rest of the series! Want more Chelsea and Zoran Kill Count hosting in my life.

I dont know about anyone else but this is one of the few horror movies that whenever i watch it. It keeps me up at night. That shot in the stairwell with the siren where its all blurry is one of the creepiest things to me.

Despite its flaws, the first movie does an awesome job at feeling like a snuff film you feel like you aren't supposed to watch. (Most of) the sequels might have some more creative segments & production value, but miss the mark when it comes to genuine dread (exception being Safe Haven, wow what a segment)

I get why Chelsea wanted to do the last one, it was bittersweet but the fact that those good boys were risking their life’s to save someone is a pretty good way to end the movie. And that alternate ending can also be interpreted as the boys being able move on as ghosts enjoying each other’s presence on earth instead of being haunting sprits due to how good they were regardless, hope they can live on in the afterlife.
The overall framing of yall being a movie rental staff worked really well. To Chelsea : the Podcast is my favorite Dead Meat content & I look forward to it every other week

(Most of) the sequels might have some more creative segments & production value, but miss the mark when it comes to genuine dread (exception being Safe Haven, wow what a segment)

I remember watching the first couple and falling in love with the series! I didn’t know they had so many. I really need to go back and watch them. They’re the movies that made me fall in love with the “found footage” style movies.
Can’t say they kept me up at night but they stay in my head for a while.
10/31/98 is imo the best segment in the entire franchise idk why I just love the idea of dudes accidentally wandering into a haunted house and not realizing it

I get why Chelsea wanted to do the last one, it was bittersweet but the fact that those good boys were risking their life’s to save someone is a pretty good way to end the movie.
And that alternate ending can also be interpreted as the boys being able move on as ghosts enjoying each other’s presence on earth instead of being haunting sprits due to how good they were regardless, hope they can live on in the afterlife.
The switching presenters idea should make a return. This episode was awesome.
