Great, I just started studying endgame and learned the correct responses to monkey jumps, so this was good for reinforcing that ;) Do you also plan to do a follow-up video where you talk about the correct moves for white when the monkey jump fails (like in the last 4 examples), as well as differences where the monkey jump is better or where the knights move or even the diagonal is better? That would be aweseome :)
I'm 6k (OGS). I think i need to take the time to really understand the proper answer to these moves. Especially since these situations happen in pretty much every game. I'm ashamed to admit that to this day, i don't properly answer monkey jumps. For someone like me, with bad endgame, this is important.
My question is this: Do you recommend SDK players *remember* all these correct answers or do you recommend we develop the reading skills to *calculate* the correct answer when required?
Hi. You don't need to remember all the moves. You know this kind of moves and try to use them. I use AI wenn I comment games but there are a lot of moves you can choose. So I pick up one or two moves which I like. I think the mix is better!
