Disney's The Haunted Mansion (1970) - Restored from 7" Snapped Vinyl

- Update Oct 2022, If you are looking for my New, Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House restoration, Disney have just blocked it worldwide. Great job Disney, block it just before it gets most views per year and you get the money anyway. I'd expect this one will be next.
It turns out I did have another Disney Record! This time it's The Haunted Mansion from 1970👻 woOoOoOo.
At some point in my childhood something must of happened to this record due to there being a rather large crack through it. I stuck a picture of that at the end of the video..
Nice challenge for a restoration though!
Theres 3 parts to this record:
1, The Haunted Mansion (the main story)
- A girl illegally trespasses on private property, only to be warned of stranger danger by the previous owner whilst she flees the scene of the crime.
2, The Haunted House (Sound-effects track with small story at the beginning)
- Mainly wind and screaming...
3, The Dogs (Sound-effects track with small story at the beginning)
- Dogs. Just dogs.
It also proudly mentions there being Music on the cover - there's none... unless you count 6 seconds of moaning during the haunted house section.
Audio captured on a Sony ps-hx-500 with a AT440b stylus at 24bit/48Khz
Edited and cleaned up with Izotope RX7 advanced and mastered with Nectar 3 and Ozone 8
Book scanned with a Canon 5600f and fixed up in photoshop.
Edited in Vegas 16 ( the render gets a bit glitchy at the end - come to think of it I don't remember a time when I haven't had occasional black frames and other glitchy crap in Vegas - time to switch to Premiere I think)
Great restoration!! Too bad the LP didn't include "Grim Grinning Ghosts," however ;)

The actress reading the story on the record was the same one that appeared with Ron Howard on the original Disneyland Record the year before(1969). 😁

Narration by your friendly veteran of these Robie Lester. Her other credits alco include the larger Disney records and teen Karen on the 1969 Haunted Mansion with Ron Howard as boyfriend Mike. Also featured is also Disney v eteraan, Laura Olsher, from the 1963 CHILLING, THRILLING, SOUNDS, OF THE HAUNTED HOUSE, kind of started it all(!!) Heard all of these before. Narrator Olsher also is well remembered for the UPAMr.Magoo special from 1962.

I am so totally on board with the House of Mouse version of this song when Pete released a trio of Hitchhiking Ghosts onto the club to scare everyone away only for this to fail and they decided to scare him instead. Which features the Hitchhiking Ghosts, the Lonesome Ghosts, the Hatbox Ghost, the Executioner, the Bride, the 4 Skeletons from Silly Scary Symphonies The Skeleton Dance, and a screaming naked Pete. I always dream about this every time.
The special effects they had at the end I've heard in the Pirates of the Caribbean record and also in kids shows where they encounter ghost.
As for the part about being afraid of dogs this narrator obviously doesn't know me very well.

What the fuck is going on here now the karbin demons from the evil dead just turn up the termintA kicjk them out of the cabin and told the head ghost there a better patty at the huntard mansion no shit it was better davo and hando still head banging and now the demons are there shelly was piss off about the clock ripping off the ghost by two hours a day
You see davo and hando went to America to hang out with Derek from American history X Derek pull out but davo and hando came across this mansion and talk to ghost host and they told all the ghost to fuck off
Guess who turned up at the haunted mansion last nite the romper stomper boys hando and davo and one ghost yell come on boys let him go hando said is that all you got to say ghost said oh ya than hando kicked all the ghost out of the mansion and stole there food like in the movie oh ye let them go hando
The mansion wasn't getting bigger it was the capital gains and the loan was going down good job because the Mansion owns 73000 hours of overtime
