STORY TIME (please read it )
Hwang Chi Yeol debuted in 2007, releasing two albums and appearing in some TV and radio shows for about a year, but his career came to a halt because his management company closed. After that he was forced to stop his activities and worked as a vocal coach, teaching idol bands including Infinite, After School, Lovelyz, NU'EST, and Hello Venus. After living as a nameless singer for 9 years he decided to appear in the show I CAN SEE YOUR VOICE (every singer can appear only once) and that's when his life started to take a turn . Many people started showing interes in him and he was invited in another show (Immortal Song 2) wich made him really famous in korea . In his 3rd apparence (the theme of the episode was family ) on the show he sang Father dedicated to his father who had suffered from cancer and who didn't want him to do music and GUESS WHAT he won the trophy
Because of fame he gained from Immortal Song he was invited in I am a singer China , which not only grew his popularity but made him one of the most loved artists in China
He then in 2017 released A daily song which became a major hit selling 2.500.000 copies only in Korea
His journey was a roller coster and he had to overcome many hardships but it was worth it because now he's one of the BRIGHTEST STARS IN THE SKY

Go the Distance is one of the common/favorite pieces for the singing contests here in the Philippines. Filipino singers love âbiritâ songs (songs with high notes) because they believe that they have more chance of winning the contest because they can power belt the song. đ

I think the song choice was because this song was covered by Regine Velasquez before, and sheâs remaking it to showcase that somehow, she can do what the Asiaâs Song Bird has done. đ Philippine Context-wise, this song is a perfect choice for a WISH BUS appearance.

The 1st filipino artist who made a cover of the song is our Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez. She is the Queen Diva here in the philippines. Even katrina velarde is a fan of our queen and she made the song cover under regine's musical arrangement of the song.
