Most singers in PH don't take voice lessons. Voice teacher is a karaoke machine at a young age. Usually taught by parents & join singing contests. Some take voice lessons when they get a bit famous.
Ofcourse but after all the competitions especially the voice she definitely had vocal lessons. The amount of practice and training to reach this tho is not known

i watched morissette in concert last year and i got to meet her, and i kept telling her Omg u are so good!! and she keeps answering no i'm not!! and then i told her ur so beautiful and again she keeps saying no i'm not!! She's a very humble person. â€ïžthat's what i love about her. and if ever she's gonna come back to vancouver i would come and see her again!!

I agree with everything BUT she has NOT BEEN TRAINED by professional coaches. She taught herself everything including her diction. She was coached by her father when she was young. She has natural beautiful round eyes even without lenses.
I think they were talking about how her diction is very polished, and it really shows. Before she auditioned to the voice, she was acting in theatres and doing musicals and i think that's where she improved her diction and stuff. The training she got from these is really a great help to what she is and what she is capable of doing right now, and diction is just one of the many.
She was in a theater musical for a season in Repertory Philippines production of Disney's Camp Rock, so she had to have some kind of formal training there during that period of time.
Also she was trained by Sarah Geronemo the Pop Princes of the Philippines whe she entered the voice comp.
She have Musical Background (Camp Rock) prior joining The Voice đ€ Leah Salonga even remembers her name when she said it in the Blind Auditions

None close to Morissette in my opinion. Her Rise Up , Never Enough, Akin ka na Lang, Secret Love Song , Naririnig mo ba , Panaginip, and now her EP stuff are all next level . I've enjoyed other artists on the bus but the one that makes it feel like a big event for me is the girl in this video.

It's just inspiring to know that even after having a mass that has grown to the size of a man's thumb taken out of her throat back when she's 11 years of age through surgery, Morisette has still managed to belt her way to this point of her being an exceptional vocalist.
And she is SUPER NICE AND HUMBLE in person. She is like a sweet little girl if she isnt singing BUT when she performs, she transforms into a BEAST!!!

You are both smart enough and have been in the Business long enough that i dont have to spoon feed you, but can give some details, Since i Discovered her (lil more than 3 yrs ago), I have been on a Mission (huge Fan from the US) to find out as much as possible about her( the research is endless) and im getting Old @60 and from FL. i cant continue as long as she will but, this Journey has been a blessing in my life.
And have just been brought to tears so many times on the Journey i cant even tell ya.
OK,,here we go..First You said that you are 100% sure she was Professionally trained,due to her exquisite Placement and Vowel Modification/Dictation, Pitch, Vibrato, etc. Well..you probalby wont believe it but to our knowledge Mori has NEVER had any "Formal Training", Everybody in her family was involved in Music and (by her own words) she has learned most she knows for her dad, who was a rock guy, defenetly not a Vocal coach or a Professional ,but did sing(only very short clips of him ever singing out there to my knowledge) So,really dont know if he had that much actual impact on her vocal prowess, however No question that her days on the Voice (Philippines version) she was rubbing shoulders with many a great singer on the show and no doubt others at the time. Mori joined the show @ 16, so at such a young age she was exposed to some of the greatest out there, I.E. Her mentors included some very Big names, Regine Valasquez , aka" Asia's Songbird"also Lea Solonga, Jessie J, Michael Bolton Rick Price, Ben Adams, the list is endless, But No formal training that we know of, its just a God given talent , IMO, what Morissette has Can Not be taught.
So, you are dead right about what you feel about her personality Humility Overload from this "Diva-Non Diva" Her dedication and devotion to her fans is unlike any of Today's Big names as you continue you will see it and its really a pleasure trust me. "The Voice " didn't train her. (For the record that is a reality show franchise and it's coaches are not vocal teachers) She had already been cast as a lead in a Musical prior to even being on that show. They are talking about her technique, the bread and butter of her voice. That was years in the making. Gotta give the lions share credit to her Dad. He is the one she credits with her years of training.

This is outstanding live performance SITTING DOWN. While most people lipsync or just record vids at home and perfect before uploading, MORI slays LIVE! She is also EXTREMELY VERSATILE. I got the chance to see her concert here in Las Vegas USA, I cried the moment she came on stage, mayb because I couldnât believe she is right in front of me, lucky for me to be on the second row and omg the performance was awesome. Met her backstage coz I bought her VIP ticket where you get to meet her after the show, she was much prettier in person and so nice!
Now we're talking this is the persona of a SINGER. She's total package đŠ for a real singer! I absolutely agree đŻ % on what you said guys Morisette is a great example of what a TRUE SINGER is (techniques and talent is truly amazing).

@@labellavita12 she's truly gifted but doesnt mean she doesnt need formal training because afterall it's her chosen professional career and that's what makes her technically great or even perfect. Having five octaves in her arsenal really requires training , hardwork and talent .
