I propagated several types of Oleander by stem cuttings in soil, I show how I made the cuttings and planted them in soil in a mini greenhouse using a humidity dome. I will follow up in about a month and show how the Oleanders did.

Oleanders are super easy, you can propagate with almost any soil, but commercial potting soil makes keeping it moist easier. I like to leave in partial shade and water once a day, never letting the soil get dry until you have some growth. You don't need to leave any leaves on the cutting either, if you do, cut them in 1/2. You can use hard or soft wood, but right in the middle seems to work the best/fastest/durable, 3/8 to 1/2 inch soft-ish wood will yield great results (1-2 year old stems). It'll take around a month to see some action, longer if you try too early in the year.

Great video, but I can’t find your follow up video. Why would you propagate in soil for a month, if they sprout roots in water in only two weeks?

You can also cut all the leaves off. The stem goes into damp sand, better chance for roots to grow.

This is helpful. I want oleanders all around the property. Some are really thick and give more privacy than others. ❤️❤️

I need to grow a lot of these. I have many in my yard along a fence. It's almost November. Is there a time not to try this and a better time to do so?

spring and summer is best, early is better to let them get established before their first winter. Most all in my area froze back last year in the extreme freeze

Isn’t oleander poisonous ? How come you don’t wear gloves ? I hear the sap causes skin irritation ?

It is toxic if you ingest it, they say it may irritate skin but it did not bother me
