This cherrypicking of what ships to put on, adding paper ships so no excuse to leave anyone out, but leaving out Montana, Shikishima and others seems pretty much like the only reason this video exists is to say "KREMLIN STRONG"

Yeah, I'm going to call bullcrap on Kremlin having a heavier broadside than USS Montana. And seeing as we're talking shots delivered per minute, most of the lower tier ships, owing to the fact that Kremlin can't cycle its guns fast enough to fire two salvoes in a minute, it probably actually gets outperformed by Kurfurst, Conqueror, Yamato, Ohio, and possibly Republique too. Maybe Shikishima, but as enormous as those shells are, only six barrels does hurt its chances here.

Some of them were actually started, but were cancelled before completion.
Some of them were designed, but never started.
And some of them were just planned, with no actual design work being done. Who knows how much of the 'plan' was even realistic, and how much was hype.
The USS Montana was one of these "never actually existed" ships from the USA. Armament-wise, it was basically an Iowa with a fourth turret, for a total of twelve 16"/50 cal mk 7 guns (the same gun used on the Iowa class)

GK broadside weight, calculating 2 salvos since approx. 1 min. 12 guns multiplied by the shell weight (1,030 kg for 406 mm, 1,220 kg for 420 mm).
    GK broadside weight, 2 salvos, approx. 1 min: 24,760 kg (406 mm) 29, 280 kg (420 mm).

Kremlin broadside, 2 salvos, approx. 1 min: 24, 714 kg.
Take note, GK reload for 2 salvos is 64 seconds for the 420 mm guns, Kremlin reload for 2 salvos is 66 seconds.
So Russian paper get inflated stats, but even then it's not enough for their satisfaction, so they even bump it up even further.

In wg's own wiki it states, that kremlin's shell wheight is 1373kg, and rof 1,82 shots/min (33s reload).
    So we get 1373kg * 9 guns * 1,82 shots/min = 22 489,74kg/min
They lied in their own video about kremlin's stats just to make it seem like the strongest in the list.

Also I don't get why montana wasn't on the list, since of the t10 paper bbs it was the most likely to have been built and probably the most well known.
Well montanas shell weight is 1225kg, 12 guns and 2 shots/min (stats from wg wiki).
      So that makes 1225kg * 12 * 2 shots/min = 29 400kg/min.
So they excluded the montana from the list because it would've beat the kremlin.

broadside weight per time is a fairly useful figure for comparing ships of different eras and types; for example the italian pre-dreads with 17in guns could in theory put out a single broadside in the region of ~4000kg, whereas a treaty heavy cruiser may only have a broadside weight of about ~220kg - the difference being the CA fires 4 salvos a minute (800kg/m), and the pre-dread will struggle to fire a salvo every 5 minutes (800kg/m) - making them fairly comparable, before taking into account range and accuracy and such

Taking in the amount of time the Iowa class would need to observe targets, generate/correct firing solutions, load guns, lay guns on target, firing guns and repeat, the realistic rate of fire under full combat condition (without taking in equipment failures and crew fatigue) is around one salvo every 1 to 1.5 minutes.

    • @kousand9917

And the Iowa class had some of the best equipment and fire control systems so all the other ships would suck in comparison.

The guns of kremlin are very real, you can find the same barrels at Vladivostok in Russia, the shell is 2.3m long and is ~1800kg which is the biggest shell off all the ship guns even in real life, since the barrel was built unlike the 510mm of shikishima so your the one full of shit lol

The funniest part about this video is that it opens with a statement about how these measurements are based off the real life specs of the guns, turrets and shells and yet some of these aren't real and of all of the ships to even be near the top tier, Kremlin beats all of them.
Atleast they are admitting it now.

Sorry, the North Carolina could NOT throw more weight than an Iowa class battleship. The North Carolina and South Dakota classes carried 9 16 in/45 caliber guns. The Iowas carried 9 16 in/50 caliber guns. The heaviest shell that could be fired from any of them was the 2,700 lb Mark 8 armor piercing shell. The longer barrels of the Iowa class ships allowed for greater range, but all 8 ships in the three different classes fired the same shells.

You know with all the paper Soviet ships that never even existed in real life which just so happen to be the strongest ships in the game. Everybody knows Soviet ships were so powerful in real life that they put legendary ships like the Yamato, Iowa and Bismarck to shame.
