The Doors channel is the official CZcams home of classic Doors live performances, The Doors albums, and contemporary performances and content honoring The Doors featuring John Densmore and Robby Krieger.
With an intoxicating, genre-blending sound, provocative and uncompromising songs, and the mesmerizing power of singer Jim Morrison’s poetry and presence, The Doors had a transformative impact not only on popular music but on popular culture.
The Doors’ arrival on the rock scene in 1967 marked not only the start of a string of hit singles and albums that would become classics, but also of something much bigger - a new and deeper relationship between creators and audience. Refusing to be mere entertainers, the Los Angeles quartet relentlessly challenged, confronted and inspired their fans, leaping headfirst into the heart of darkness while other bands warbled about peace and love. Though they’ve had scores of imitators, there’s never been another band quite like them.
*The Doors make me feel temporarily alive and free*
Only temporarily friend? Remember you're never without love and support! Rock on buddy, you can do anything you set your mind to!!!!
@@mikehunt5134 you have that right!

Jim forever
@@jameswhiteley8996 And Ray.
Unique sound. Still found fresh 50 years later
Ray Manzarek, a gifted musician behind the organ
Mr. Morrison's side profile and performing with his eyes closed stance is so LEGENDARY, it's an iconic imagery. I thoroughly thank this official channel for bringing his band's heyday to 2020 and beyond. God, I love this song since years. I love it more now.
I Agree Brother!. Some Say that Jim Was the Reincarnation of Alexander The Great!. It's Believable woth his Alcoholism&Wild Free Spirited Behavior!. Jom Even got his Haircut and Gave the Barber a Picture of Alexander The Great!
@@richardpapalapadous8177 I don't buy that. Jim was an original. He was brilliant, but he had his flaws, like all of us.
The Doors were a happy accident: The exact right 4 guys. The chance to rehearse and play constantly, honing their sound. Being in the right place at the right time to get discovered by a record company willing to back them. A well-produced debut album that sounded like nothing else, and had amazing lyrics. And a lead singer who was so handsome, he became a sex symbol. He was all over the teenybopper magazines of the time. Lots of teenage girls bought Doors records because of that. They made Elektra a ton of money.
I put them right up there with bands like Led Zep, The Stones, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, etc. I still love all their music to this day.
Only the Stones are still a working band, though less than the original lineup. Keith and Mick are the last of them.
The Dead have 4 survivors, and they all still play. Dead & Co. wasn't the original Dead, but they delivered. John Mayer is a brilliant guitarist. I still see Dead-related shows as often as I can. Magic.
I got to see Doors of the 21st Century in California in 2004. Ray and Robbie were still there, but Jim wasn't. Ian Astbury (another favorite of mine) took his place and did an excellent job. They'd also added a bass player. It sounded great live. One of the best concerts of my life.
Over 50 years later, and people are still discovering them. Their music was built to last.
EDIT: The show I saw. Sound quality isn't good, but it was live. czcams.com/video/v8D6nZbTU6k/video.html
Definetly
Best side profile
The coolest band ever dude. Peace
The Doors are the best band I've ever heard. Greetings from México
I was 15 in 1968. I need a Time Machine to relive the 60’s and 70’s.
I was 16 and played their debut album all the time in my car's 8-track.
Same, still listening
I really enjoyed writing two novels set in that time. :)
CZcams is our closest time machine
Jim’s voice is so fkn unique like forreal, it just kinda resonates with your soul it’s fkn insane
Bravo, Jim! You're the best rock star ever!
He was the original rock star. This was when life was lived
Yes when life was lived rather than typed.

You just can't beat The Doors - absolutely the best Music Combo Ever! The DOORS live forever, man!
There are tons of great bands and tons of great musicians but these 4 guys were just perfect for each other.

Hello to the Greatest Band to come out of the 60's!
Aren't you forgetting The Beatles?
@@viveksathoo He said greatest not the most popular. THE DOORS #1 FOREVER!
@@27MOJOKING So you're Morrison fan. I too listen to The doors but I listen to them when my mind is blown away. Where as The Beatles always blow my mind away by kind of music they play.
And don't you compare songwriting, album concepts, genres, harmonies of Beatles and Doors.
He is the lizard king, he can do anything.
R.I.P. to Jim “the Legend” Morrison, I am merely 15 years old and I know of your legacy and appreciate your music, may your music go down in history as some of the best classic rock music we have
Ah, watching this is heavenly. Just magnificent really that this was captured and we're able to watch this, their music never fails to amaze me.
How much has music changed? stadium rock is a completely different beast now...but there's very few that can conjure the magic like these guys.
1966-1967 was a great time to be alive.
LA and San Francisco were a happening place with good vibrations all around.
My dad would sing this and Sgt Pepper all the time when I was growing up!
Yes Jim is the best ever!
Hello I am Brazilian and I am 14 years old, I am very happy to have come from a family that dark these perfect songs !! my big dream is to be a rock star like you
Do u know Jim is dead?
@@axelulises5421 dont ruin his dreams man ahaha
What a legend, poet, performer, singer and what a BAND!!!
Doors eternal ✨✨
Best band of all time. Period. Absolute legends.
Pretty cool to see these live shows finally get posted to youtube
Particularly for those of us who never got to see them live as Jim died too soon
Hello, I love jim
I'm reading Robbie's book, right now actually! One of the reasons Jim closed his eyes when he sang was because he was shy! Seeing the audience freaked him out! Lol. I know, I found that hard to believe at first, but reading his great book (Set the Night on Fire) made me believe it now!
Best band ever
This song is in my head at least a few times a month lol like today 😅 ❤ 🗣🗣hello hello
My name is James I was born in Florida. Like A Dog That Begs For Something Sweet!
My all time favourite band .
Esta canción siempre me recordara a una linda muchachita de ojos negros como la noche y sonrisa brillante como la luna
(Sigh...)
NICE! ❤
Thank you The Doors for always bringing my mood up, cause this times shit's been kinda tough. Not when their songs are playing though!🖤
MUCH LOVE! LIZZARD KING!
❤Alway's Awesome❤
Still relevant what a band
I ❤ The Doors
This is the studio vocal..Somewhere on you tube you can hear the real performance without overdubs.I think they even touched up Robbie's slide solo towards the end..
For a brief period in 1960s Jim Morrison was the god of Rock!🎤🎸🤙
Love THE DOORS💪💪💪❤❤👌👏👏👏
Look and how graceful and elegant he belts it out. So pure
He was a very classy looking guy, sophisticated- even if he didn’t behave like it sometimes !
*Fun fact* What have Jim Morrison, Ray Davies and Brian Wilson all got in common? The answer: their middle name is Douglas
cool!!
Well that was fun.
Jim and Ray Davies also have something else in common too- the riff of this song, and The Kinks All Day-All of the Night.

Wow, superb, I wish I lived then in LA..
Los extraño tanto :'(
I did not know Ray sang the few and far between harmonies. Nice.
So so beautiful
AMEN !!!!
I love this song! And I love so much this band! ❤😆

There's no audio recording of this song from Hollywood Bowl, I mean Jim's voice. They took Morrison voice from album version, Bruce Botnick admitted that in 2012, when the new version of HB was released. Great concert, though...
Amazing quality (Y)
One of the clearest live videos I've seen thus far, excellent. Thanks!
Morrison ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ i love you

Such a good song. This coming from a 24 year old. Greetings y’all!
Джим на века!!!
Mein geliebter Jimi, ich danke Dir für Deine Liebeserklärung!
I don't recall this tune being on the "Live at the Hollywood Bowl '68" DVD from years ago.. But maybe I'm wrong, as it's been a while since I've watched it. I assume it got cut and now we see it here, finally. Groovy! 😎
Jim Morrison❤ 💕💕💕
Gostei muito...
I saw a excellent copy band
Identical in every way
Was the most relaxed chilled gig
The personality shone out
