  • How To Make Coffee Filter Peony with Hey Angela Marie for about 50 cents and NO PATTERNS!!! This was definitely a favorite! It looks so good in every application. Bridal, powder room, mantel, office, vanity, dressing room, breakfast table, gifting, night stand, window, YOU NAME IT!! My favorite is anywhere in the bedroom or bath. I hope you try this exclusive looking budget friendly, relaxing, easy DIY and tell me what you think!! who can have this much fun with a cost of 50 cents??? WE CAN!!!
    Here's what we need:
pink, green and yellow pastel colored acrylic craft paint: any Craft Store for about 50 cents
olive and light green colored acrylic craft paint any Craft Store for about 50 cents each
26 coffee filters: Dollar Tree, 150 for $1.00
wire: Dollar Tree, six spools for $1.00
At least 3 Twigs: Free from outside or skewers or wire, Dollar Tree
White Glue/school glue, Anywhere for about $1.00. I use this because it simply disappears into the project with no extra textures or bulk.
Disposable containers that are able to be reused
Styrofoam balls from Dollar Tree, which adds $1.00 to the cost of the project, but may be quicker.
    Scissors
    Paint brushes
Blow dryer to dry filters (optional). They can air dry of dry in an oven of 300 for about 20 to 30 minutes.
    Rubber Gloves for dipping, (optional)
Always smooth at the base of each flower by twisting in the direction your petals were rapped.
Always cut the deeper cuts on the sides that shape the petal deepest on the outside and more shallow toward the inside.
    Be fairly generous with glue.
Let the glued steps dry before moving on to the next step.
Adjust color lighter or darker with white or cream for lighter and a darker shade of the paint for darker. You may use any colors you like. I prefer pink for this project.
Adjust any aspect as you like. Suit every detail to your taste. You can't lose as long as you like it and nothing has to be "perfect".
Use as many leaves or petals as you like.
Add it with other flowers. No one knows what you like as well as you do....I think, lol!
Use it as therapy!!! It's the best kind!! Be creative and let the endorphins fly!!!!
Ask me anything! Subscribe, like, click the bell and come back for more!
Price breakdown: Each teaspoon of paint is about 4.2
cents; about 12 cents total cost. EACH coffee filter is about .007 cent each; 26 being about 18 cents. Glue is about 1.5 cents per teaspoon which brings the glue total cost to about 3 cents. Twigs are free! Wire costs about a penny. Bringing this project to a whopping total of under 50 cents!!!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! HAVE FUN!!

I just love your tutorials! I really appreciate the way you present them as you get right to the point and don't waste my energy with long, drawn out videos of what is only obvious. I have terminal cancer and since I have always loved flowers and my gardens I'm making bouquets for all my friends and family to have that will hopefully bring smiles instead of tears. Thank you!

Carolyn.. God bless you sweetie , keep you pain free. I had a melanoma that went to my lymph nodes, God is good, it didn't spread to my major organs. But after a year and a half if chemo I can seriously say I understand where you're coming from. I will put you on my prayer list and make it a point to pray for you every day. I'm so sorry you're going thru this. My love and blessings!

Boy, I cant tell you how many filters, maybe 2000(small budget). We had Asked for donations. Now I am making flowers for my nieces wedding. Hi Angela! I just subscribed to you from your wonderful flower wall tutorial. I came across this video when I checked to see your other videos, which made my day! Peonies are my all time favorite flowers!! If I shortened the stems, do you these would look good mixed in on the flower wall? I'm doing it in light pink, light peach, and white mixed together. Also wondering if you think some green leaves throughout would look okay, now that I've seen the soft green leaves with the peonies. Thanks again for your time and talent!

O,gosh you are AMAZING, these are STUNNING, I will DEFINITELY try these! I have a white peony bush that has flowers the size of the coffee filters, and also a pink (single bloom) with a yellow pompom in the middle, and a double pink with a dark out pink and ice inner pink. I plant a new bush each year in memory of my mom but give the blooms to my elderly neighbors as the scent triggers migraines. But these! These would definitely not! Thank you! (And these would look great at church too!) be blessed! I will post these on my instagram with creds back to you when I get the time to make them. Dewluvbug is my ig name.

I'm so glad you can make use of these flowers and that is a beautiful sentiment. I will definitely be watching out for your pics! I also think they would make a great bouquet for a bride on a budget or on reception tables. Hope you have fun making them. If you watch my rose video, it may help with the process of duplicating the ones in your yard. God Bless you!...and thanks again!!

These are the most realistic coffee filter peony flowers. It will be nice if this video was a little bit slower for us folks that are trying to learn how to make them. Thanks.

You could hit the settings button (shaped like a gear or a flower), click playback speed and then choose a slower speed. I actually use the playback speed choice to speed up some videos!

@@heyangelamarie I know you can never win when trying to please the crowd. I personally always appreciate it going a little quicker and if I need to I will go back and play something over and over until I am up to speed. I do admit on some videos that are too long I don't even watch them. Yours are worth the effort and either way I will be watching. Thanks again for all that you do Angela. God bless!!

These ARE gorgeous. Is it better to use Elmer’s glue or can we use hot glue ? Also , are he filters easier to manipulate after they are painted ?

yes. very much so. I think even more because its not crunchy. its more durable.

Beautiful! But how big are your coffeefilters? I can only bay one size in Holland and they are quite big. If I knew your size filters I could cut them. Thank you for answering!

    • @heyangelamarie
      @heyangelamarie  Před 2 lety +1

I believe 10 inches but it should work with up to 12 inches. You can adjust cut measurements up or down to make them work.

Please slow down! This is the VERY BEST peony coffee filter flower I've ever seen and I want to do it, but it's so fast! Could you do it again please? Give us a list of materials , instructions, I watched this video 17 times and still haven't got all the materials written down. Thank you!
