I’m a millennial and a mom of 3 from NYC, looking to relocate to GA. I haven’t chosen where yet. As a current Nursing Assistant, I’m glad to hear that there’s going to be a hospital located there pretty soon, equals more jobs.
Even if the new hospital in Grovetown doesn’t open for a while, we have Doctors Hospital in Augusta, and 3 more hospitals just a little further into Augusta, with Doctors being only about a 10-15 minute drive from Grovetown. I worked there for many years as a CNA. The other 3 don’t take long to get to either if you take I-20, probably only 20-25 minutes but Doctors Hospital is close and convenient to Grovetown. IMO, this is a good and safe place to raise kids too. Very low crime in Grovetown and very very rarely do I hear of any violent crime. And when I do hear of a rare case of a violent crime, like once a year, it’s domestic and never random. Now that may change over time, as we’re having a bit of a population explosion right now, 😂 but so far, so good.

Yes, they have a performing arts center that host theater shows/plays and they have two outdoor amphitheaters where they have concerts and family events such as movie on the lawn, food truck events, and different music fest. There is not a large indoor concert arena/venue though like in Augusta.
Are there public transportation in Grovetown or Augusta Ga? We are considering that area because I want to be near a military base where we have access to the facilities
This is a great question! In Grovetown, there is only one actual gym and that is Anytime Fitness but it is a 24hr gym which is great. Other than that, within Grovetown there are only a few personal trainers with private facilities or a CrossFit gym. There are other gym options within Augusta and Evans along with franchise facilities such as Orangetheory and Planet Fitness.
Houses in Grovetown are affordable due to its recent transformation from a rural area just a decade or two ago. The rapid growth and distance from the city center have likely played a role in keeping housing prices lower compared to more suburban areas. Affordable housing is not only in Grovetown but throughout the surrounding areas.
