After many requests from my lovely American students, I finally decided to open a youtube channel entirely dedicated to people from the U.S. that LOVE Italian and Italy.
The Natural Method I suggest you follow is based on the concept of MASSIVE LISTENING to INTERESTING and COMPREHENSIBLE Italian.
It worked for hundreds of thousands of people I helped since 2013.
By doing that using the advantages of being an adult, you will naturally absorb the Italian language so that when you'll try to speak words will come out without you stressing about grammar rules, verb conjugations, articles, etc...
You'll know the right way because you followed the right principles that allow your brain to learn Italian.
It will be just a matter of time before Italian will be yours!

I learned Italian in 1973 by the "immersion" method when I fell in love with a Roman and wanted to communicate. I speak very little now but your videos have ignited my love of the language of my ancestors. Thank you.

I agree with you. Maybe initially, the kind of student text book/grammar etc has its place, but I've found over the years that immersing myself into the language was key. Speaking with other native speakers (e.g. relatives in my case), and consuming a lot of content - movies, TV series, music, books etc. It helps that there are many great things out there. :)
I used to watch a lot of Italian quiz shows as well, where I picked up new words and expressions each time (including slang, for example when the show host was talking). These days it feels good to be able to watch movies/shows in Italian and understand most of it, without much effort. And if I come across any new words or expressions, I get curious and look them up afterwards.
Thanks for your videos, they are great!
