    5 ITALIAN SLANG WORDS:
    1. FURBO (Positive: CLEVER / Negative: SHADY)
    2. FREGARE/FREGARSENE (TO CARE)
    3. FIGURACCIA (BAD IMPRESSION)
    4. CHE CASINO! (WHAT A MESS!)
    5. RAGA (GUYS)
    After many requests from my lovely American students, I finally decided to open a youtube channel entirely dedicated to people from the U.S. that LOVE Italian and Italy.
    The Natural Method I suggest you follow is based on the concept of MASSIVE LISTENING to INTERESTING and COMPREHENSIBLE Italian.
    It worked for hundreds of thousands of people I helped since 2013.
    By doing that using the advantages of being an adult, you will naturally absorb the Italian language so that when you'll try to speak words will come out without you stressing about grammar rules, verb conjugations, articles, etc...
    You'll know the right way because you followed the right principles that allow your brain to learn Italian.
    It will be just a matter of time before Italian will be yours!

    I know this video is several years old, but since I'm seeing it for the first time, I will add this observation:
    At 2:33 the actual phrase in English is supposed to be "I could NOT care less..." Even many English speakers get this wrong and say what you put in the video: "I COULD care less..." is incorrect. The correct phrase, "I could NOT care less", means that you do not care at all (because you could NOT possibly care any less). Alternately, many people also correctly say "I couldn't care less" which is the same meaning because it's the contraction of could not = couldn't
    That said, usually I could not care less when I encounter people saying it incorrectly, but since this is a language video on slang words and terminology, I figured it was worth pointing it out. Cheers!

    In Cyprus we use the slang word 'razza', when asking someone what family they are from e.g. What razza are you from? I'm just wondering if it has a similar slang use in italian. Cheers! Nick :)

    Un'altra frase interessante potrebbe essere anche "ci sei o ci fai?" come per dire "sei veramente così o stai fingendo?

    Are these words used both in the North and South of Italy?

      @italianforamericans2416  Před 3 lety

      I think so, I'm from the North so I can tell you what we say here, but most of these words are part of the Italian language. Only the last one 'raga' as I said in the video is mostly used in the North.
