Hi! I have some tips for you when you go netherite mining. If you use beds, place the bed and then a block in front of it. That will take a lot of the damage away. Also, netherite doesn't break with explosions, it can't be destroyed either with fire so don't worry about that. And another idea, put your food in your off hand and then you will free up a hotbar slot. The best level to mine for ancient debris (netherite) is y 15.

for the composter you can use two hopper (one on the top for the input and one under the composter for the output)

I think if you hide behind a block when you set the bed a couple blocks away you don’t get exploded as much. Maybe enchantments or a potion could help? Or just keep powering through the damage... that seems fine

I like the look of trap doors they look better in the ground for the farm but I recently started using slabs so that I don't have to stop holding my mouse button so what you will with that information.
