It's a big ocean, there's of room for everyone. A little common courtesy and awareness all this nonsense would be cut to a minimum. Using the oceans waves while angry or getting angry while doing so is counterproductive I would think, no? That's when you know it's time for a break or getting in tune with your surroundings before starting. But then..... maybe not...

Just saying, skimboarders get the longer rides for shorebreak, and this is primarily a skim channel. Surfers barely ever even make the drop at the wedge, so don’t be mad at skim. There are multiple sides to the story
Everyone has the right to a wave. As long as people are waiting their turn, not dropping in and not snaking anyone. As long as those rules are followed, all have equal right.
I know virtually nothing about surfing, skimboarding, or bodyboarding but the amount of animosity in these comments is a little disheartening. I want to learn how to surf and skim one day and thought the vid was cool and went to the comments and all I see are people at each others throats. Can't the surfers and bodyboarders give waves over to the skimmers? Waves with surfers at the peak should keep the wave, but if there's no rider then I'd say the skimmers can have it. Problem is nobody wants to hand over any waves :/
Don’t talk shit about something you haven’t tried mate, I surf and skim and I can tell you they are extremely different surfing is more for appreciated of the waves and ocean and skimming is more for having fun in the ocean and getting yourself energized- skim boarding is extremely dangerous and is honestly a better feeling then surfing (not getting a barrel but you can get barreled on a skim so)

Bodyboarding is better than surfing simple really and i dont do either for a long time but didnt like surfing bodyboarding was way better i just go back from Perranporth had 2 weeks traveling devon and cornwall stayed in Newquay ect was a decent few days weather was crap i found the skimmers and bodyboarders a lot nore friendly then surfers guess they are angry alway bobbing around out there why everyone else is having fun getting along enjoying the ocean waves but have to blame everyonr else for your wasted time bobbing about jokes aside why the hatr eveyone ahould be encouraging each other all these sports are great fun and we should be encouraging the next generations to up the game and get out there and do not moan or try and devide dont helo anyine with they type of mindset
