Based on this conversation, I'm concluding that the best way for one to have a positive experience with female friendship(s) are to know thyself and to communicate. To clarify on the "knowing thyself" part, one must know what their dislikes and likes are in terms of character traits. When being around/approached by someone with a character trait that they dislike, they can either communicate to them about it or not deepen the friendship if it's something that they can not deal with.
To add to the conversation, I think the creation of girls' codes occurred because of the lack of integrity in some female friend groups. Claiming that one is a girls girl kind of creates this ground of "safety" and "security" for the women who have not experienced that in a female friendship.
