      Nah, this one is a good way of doing, yeah you will spend time doing it, but is far easier than trying dry

      I have applied this kind of film on some of my house windows. There were some small water bubbles and smudges left after applying, but they have disappeared after a copule of weeks by themselves. Water slowly permiates through the plastic and evaporates. As long as you use clean water and don't trap any dust between the foil and the glass, you should be fine.
      Can't say for certain that all types of foil will behave this way, but I believe it's pretty typical.

      ​@bgbc1 doing it like a screen protector doesn't mean doing it dry... it means you lay the film down starting at one edge and press it as u go. It makes the process no more difficult while also taking far less time.

      @@ShawnO9 I have made a mistake, a standard engine runs anywhere from 75 to 105 degrees Celsius. So your CPU can easily get that hot. Jayztwocents did a video on this if you want to watch.

    Kinda cool. I would have probably put the film on this interior side of the panel to preserve the glass look and feel of the panel from the exterior but, still an interesting, easy and low-tech mod. Definitely not to everyone’s taste I imagine though lol

      NO- THE WATER FROM STICKING ONTO THE FILM WILL RUIN YOUR PC, AND THE TEMPERATURES WILL ALSO AFFECT THE WATER AND CAUSE LEAKAGE AND AHHHH-

    You should use water with just a little bit of dish soap. It makes it completely free of bubbles and much easier to work with

    I think it’d look cooler on the fish tank if you did on the side instead of front panel, so like it looks different from different angles: one side has the diffused look, which the other you can still see your parts like the Aio if you need to see temps and stuff like that
