    The nuna takes up less front to back space than the britax. I have the nuna in my car and my husband has the britax advocate in his. The nuna rava allows two tall parents to sit comfortably in a honda civic sedan; with the rava installed on the passenger side or in the center. The rava has room to be more upright than how I installed it, so if you have a smaller car and a child who can sit upright it would probably give you approximately 2 more inches of space than the britax. I am so glad you two did the comparison video, because I was having this same debate a few months ago, we purchased the britax first, however it took up at least one and a half more inches of front to back space than the rava, which is why we splurged on the rava. I love the nuna is easier to adjust the angle of the recline and it is a bit higher quality, both are extremely safe and easy to install which is really what it all comes down to. The britax also came with an anti rebound bar, which is a wonderful safety feature, however we could only use it in my husbands' larger vehicle. I scoured the internet for a comparison of these two car seats a few months ago, thank you both for making videos Mom's truly need and want.

      Megan Hambright thank you! I drive a camaro and can’t afford to upgrade to another vehicle just yet. Gotta make it work and I think the nuna will make sense if it takes up less room.

    Fits perfectly rear-facing in our truck, which has a slightly smaller back seats. czcams.com/users/postUgkx6_FKRYB2ClSPRyjcd8HptiCS3EiQoNX4 Feels as comfy and plush as our Graco Contender carseat.

    I have both of these carseats(Nuna primary and Britax in the grandparents car). I love them both, but during Black Friday you can find the Rava for $100 off. I love them both equally but my Mother has arthritis and long fingernails so has a hard time loosening the straps on the Britax and working the click tight feature. I will also say that the Britax has more padding in the bottom cushion for your child to sit on, however my daughter has not complained about the comfort of the Rava after driving for 4 hrs straight.

    Loved this, for all my international peeps out there, the laws vary depending on your country as well. When I moved from North America to Europe I discovered that if I ever got in an accident and had a non-EU approved/made carseat my insurance would fine me. Ended up having to purchase new carseats and have no regrets as their rules seemed better rounded anyways. I have used cybex and maxicosi and totally agree on the streamlined and clean look. I already have waaaay too many cutesy kiddy things around my home so why would I want my car invaded. 😆

    Susan/FAM, IYO, which is the "better" / easier fabric to clean for messes? Which seat do you feel has better airflow? In doing separate research on playpens, we found Nuna tends to put thought into airflow circulation (their Sena Aire for instance). Just curious if these things "matter" as safety, design, build, etc. are obviously the main considerations, but afterwards, interesting points around ease of buckling in/use are definitely useful to know as well.

  • @hannahscott6604
    @hannahscott6604 Před 2 lety

    The britax boulevard you can add an anti rebound bar wirh which I like but the crash test results are pretty shotty compared to a nuna rava.

    My wife has a Nuna Rava in her car and I have the Nuna Exec. in mine. One thing that they didn’t mention that was a deciding factor when I bought them is that Nuna uses a steel frame I those two models. They’re much stronger and doesn’t degrade over time like plastic car seats.

    I love my Nuna and the Britax is terrible. Like the above blogger mentioned, she has the Nuna but would consider buying the Britax for her husband’s car. This is what I did. The reviews were very comparable for safety and I figured I was only paying extra for comfort and luxury, which is not needed for a second car for local trips. Boy, was I wrong! The cheap styrofoam headpiece broke, after my toddler squirmed a bit while we were putting in the seat. My question is this, how is it supposed to withstand a crash if a toddler breaks it when they wiggle?

    The nuna rava’s harness straps give me nearly no room to get them over the child’s shoulders to buckle them in or to get the crotch buckles down to the center buckle to click them in!!! I hate how little room the straps give. Even when they’re loosened to the most possible extent.

    • @pualilia3298
      @pualilia3298 Před 4 lety

      If you travel a lot the Doona is the way to go. I looooove my Doona, it was the best investment I made. I never had to lug around my baby in their seat, it’s so easy, in and out. Now that my little one is 2, he outgrew the Doona and we got the Nuna which we love and he loves as well!

    • @KRAIRMEN
      @KRAIRMEN Před 4 lety

      We have the Doona and LOVED the convenience of a stroller built in to the car seat when my baby was very young. My son, however, haaates being in the car so we recently invested in the Rava and I'm curious to see if he has just been uncomfortable in the Doona (I'll admit, for a luxury car seat it isn't very padded or comfortable looking without the infant insert) or if he merely hates car rides in general. When we went to the beach (5-1/2 hour car ride) I sat in the back with him to keep him entertained and happy and both there and back I was literally massaging his poor little back (while he was sitting in the seat) after an hour or two because he kept arching it as if he was uncomfortable. I would say the Doona isn't the most comfortable seat for long trips but it's incredibly convenient for a busy lifestyle where you plan to tote your baby around on the go. All in all, the Doona is great for babies but once your child is walking (ours was at 10 months) I wouldn't fuss with lugging the Doona around. It's also much heavier than your typical infant car seat.

      @@ts.7234 based on some reports, I take back what I said. But they copy ether other so much to the point of no return.
      Britax b ready older frame was made before the nun Demi Grow, which has the same concept and easy way to have 2 car seats, due to my research I noticed that other companies can't provide the same 2 car seat option like britax or nuna. There's always just a second seat. Car Seats the first adapter of britax that for other car seats is for nuna (well mixes with maxi cosi, cybex, clek) but isn't it weird how they copy each other? You can notice the differences and similarities, I have owned 32 strollers and 65 car seats, since I had a consignment store, (of my own strollers and car seats) since I used them for reborn therapy dolls and not actual children or babies, if I don't like the car seat and stroller any more I would sell them. So I have alot of knowledge of both brands, and they are so similar like toyota and subaru (they are owned by the same company on the top)
      Just in my opinion yes the top company who ever branch they own both britax and nuna. But it's only invested. Like toyota owns about 45% of subaru.
