Only gripe is the holes in the shield. If they gave us an extra shield and charged me a little more I would of been fine with that. That's my only bugaboo. Otherwise it seems perfect. Like we were so close to perfection with this figure but Hasbro always does something to not quite get there. But having said that the figure is still amazing.
I've been waiting for this for this figure. This will be the only Capt America in my collection. Got it on Pre order and I hope Hasbro makes enough so everybody gets the opportunity to buy it.

the straps represent him wearing his shield on his back. they wouldn't be there when he's holding it. I love it. I have 4! I painted the worst masked head to go on the 80th Cap and I gave one the WW2 shield.

I missed out on the 80th Anniversary Cap (and the dark blue and both head sculpts just didn't look right to me), so I was happy with settling for the vintage Cap as THE Cap of my collection. But this one will definitely be replacing it.
I never bought Toy Biz Marvel Legends back in the day. They just looked weird to me. I was all about DC Universe Classics. I couldn't afford to be into both lines.
I'm getting both this Cap and the Iron Man. I typically get every version of Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Batman over in the DC toylines. But I only need one Cap. And this one will be my one Cap. Think I'll resell the vintage one.

I bought two Caps and two IMs. I am weak.
With how clean the shield looks and that no prior ones match up with it, they really should have provided an alternate one or at least something to fill the holes from behind. Unmasked head looks good but also a bit Tom Of Finland, blue around the masked head's eyes is odd. Not sold on the shading but overall he looks good and one of the better Caps.

I got lucky today, when the power sale or whatever it's called on hasbropulse went up, I wasn't able to buy this cap because I was to slow, but today it got restocked so I managed to buy it in $23 with shipping and tax included. This'll be my first cap, I think it will be the best cap I will have in a long time.
80th Cap will be my stealth version once I get this version.

Well, I took the plunge and brought this bad boy from Toy Snowman. I will tell you this folks, even from Canada they turn the shipping around quickly. But keep in mind shipping ain’t cheap. If something pops up on the site you want, you might want to get a few collector friends together and order en mass. The Cap itself looks so good I haven’t been able to bring myself to open it. But I will 😉

This will be my very first CAP figure and *I CAN NOT WAIT* to see this figure, but I really really wished they gave us a better shield and shield design. I have the GI Joe Alley Viper and I agree with another here that that shield design is way better. I'm going to see if I can use the shield from my (Falcon)/Capt.A figure.....

Great review! This is THE Captain America figure I’ve been waiting my whole life for! The head sculpt and unmasked head from the 70’s is perfect! All the hands, shield effects and straps too! The paint deco and great buck of the 80th make this my one of my most anticipated of the year. Two on pre-order!
I don't know for some reason, the head sculpt looks like John C. Reilly in mask. I pre-ordered one hopefully I'm wrong, but other than the head and the shield everything looks fantastic.

My first ever toybiz fig was the Elektra and ugh that was a fugly sumbeech and the cheek joints. 🤦 disturbing.

It is a phenomenal looking figure. Over here in the UK it's priced around £30-£33 which I think is a bit steep.
I think the shield is bigger than the 80yrs Cap's. I hate that easily broken peg clip system. The Cobra Alley Viper has a better setup for the shield. Bands/straps that rotate.
The Steve Rogers head looks better than I thought it would. Does this have metallic paint on some of the scales like 80yrs Cap does?
The clip never breaks if you only use the peg, which is designed to fit into the gripping hand of 90% of Caps that it has come with. Never use the clip. The clip is for suckers.
No metallic paint, but each scale has a different shade of blue painted on it

P.S. recently watched ur past vid with the interview with dwight and hasbro team, hoping u can reach out to them if u have an opportunity to make a pentagon armor iron man similar to the "sentinel toy line" armorize iron man. This is going to mean a lot man since it looks the definitive look for iron man it looks similar to a extremis armor

Holes in the shield is a no-no unless they give us two shield which, for the price of this, they should!
They're charging extra for a shield with holes, and a repainted body with a new head sculpt, got it fuck Hasbro.
Anything that is not pinless in 2022 is unacceptable, that is the base at this point and that's BEFORE you start up charging.

So of course with his billable and impatient I am, after watching your review I went on to toysnowman and got this one along with grabbing the west coast avengers scarlet witch and vision! It is a very nice Cap. Definitely the nicest ML Cap to date. But I feel like he isn’t as good as the more current offerings. He feels like he could have came out 3 years ago. Compare him to like Red Skull, Psychoman, and Ultron who all have pinless all new sculpts really makes this dude dated. Doesn’t make him bad.

Very Good AF, but I don't like Cap America as Superhero. Too American 😂, I prefer Neutro-Superheroes as Spiderman, Batman, Hulk or Wolverine etc....

Why didn't you take those straps off his shoulders? Those are supposed to be the straps that hold his shield on his arm. If his shield is on his arm, why are the straps still on his shoulders?
That’s not what those straps are for. They are made to be worn over the shoulders like that, no reason for me to take them off.
@@MCUcollector24 Did you read Cap comics in the 80s and 90s? The shield has two straps on it that go over his left arm when he's using it in a fight, and he stows it on his back when he's not. In the movies, it's held on with a magnet or something. In the comics, the two arm straps stretch over his shoulders to hold the shield in place. Look up Ron Lim's run in the early 90s if you don't believe me. You'll NEVER see those straps on his shoulders when he's got his shield on his arm.

The shield is a horrible design. Those effects makes no sense at all. The holes is the shield is a bad design. Strong pass for me.
This is the one cap figure I'm not getting 😂 I can't get over the angry butt faces and holes in the shield. Happy for those who like it but I'll stick with the 80th
What an unimpressive 20 year anniversary Captain America. The 80th Anniversary Captain America is far better than this one. Sure, the head sculpts are neat but overall paint apps suck and these cardboard diorama are lame. I still ordered this figure mainly because I'm a sucker for anything Captain America. For the price this figure is definitely not something to go crazy for.
