To celebrate Double Masters 2022, we're doing extra episodes! As in, just 1 extra episode for this month. In this episode, we have a bunch of Patreon-suggested and voted commanders. Myrkul, the Lord of Bones will be trying to kill us all, but we have the powerful sibling partner pairing of Jeska, Thrice Reborn and Kamahl, Heart of Krosa who will be looking to attack with the power of lands. Meanwhile, Neera, Wild Mage aim to cast spells that were not meant to be cast, and Tazri, Beacon of Unity will be organizing a dungeon party at Baldur's Gate!

An awesome episode once again. Funny thing is, 2 days ago I built a party dungeon deck too but instead of going the Maze's End way I built it with a roll d20 sub-theme. Nonetheless the way Esmond played it was great to watch. Overall it was a very entertaining show.
Also to mention the sub-theme of Myr's in Myrkul was hilarious funny.
Once again you proved to be one of the best Commander shows on CZcams. Thank you so much.

At 28:30 Esmond plays Midnight Pathlighter and Paul says if three creatures go through, Esmond gets to venture 3 times. It should only trigger once right? Pathlighter says “whenever one or more”, not “whenever a creature”. Occurs at 30:05
Pathlighter works for each different player hit so it should have triggered twice because he hit paul and liang ying. Matthew blocked. He got one extra trigger there but later misses 4 so i think it evened out lol.

Matthew blocked one creature but he still got hit by two other creatures, so the three triggers was correct

That was a fun game. All of the decks were so different in what they were trying to do, but still the game managed to have a lot of interaction.

Slight misplay at 43:28 - Esmond shouldn't have the Initiative since he lost it at 42:14 to Liang Ying already. I don't think that extra land fetch mattered tho. But insane game! GG!

I know there's no giveaway or anything but my favourite moment was Esmond convincing Liang Ying to "let others do some work" and have Matt finish him off.

For some reason I kept sleeping through the episode (started watching it waaaay too late) but I kept coming back and finally watched it for the fourth time and completed it. And it was a really good game! Too bad about missing the value there Esmond!

I did have a thought. When Matt played diluvian primordial, he could have cast kayas wrath and splendid reclamation to blow up everyone’s lands, then return all of his lands, which would still have been 2/2s. Probably could have ended the game. Lol

At 32:28 Matthew casts Swan Song targeting Navigation Orb with the intent to Neera it away and hits a Desertion. Unfortunately, this line wouldn't have worked since Navigation Orb is an illegal target for Swan Song, so could never have been cast in the first place.

I've been waiting for there to be enough support for Tazri party decks. Watching Esmond do all of the cool stuff with that deck really inspired me to brew my own.

Great game! The gates make so much sense in a 5 color party deck though i think i might use najeela as the commander to double up on those juicy attacking triggers more.
Neera with the displacer kitty can be pretty broken allowing mutiple neera activations a turn on the casual level or outright winning at higher power levels.
Poor Myrkul, he's capable of such broken things that he will rarely get the chance to do them

He would heal for a ton and still have a board of 2/2 lands

pathlighter would of only let you adventure into the dungeon once, i do believe it doesnt trigger multiple times just once, but otherwise this game was great

Why did Esmonds deck get disliked in the begining? Because Initiative is hard to track?
You still shuffe from Chaos Warp even if the card doesn't go into the library.
