The Final Fantasy 7 ost has long been one of my favorite video game soundtracks. The darkness. The brooding. It has such a unique vibe. Nobuo Uematsu's use of synths along with the traditional strings creates a powerful twisted dystopian soundscape that I've always felt stands out from a lot of other final fantasy soundtracks. I figured, for the remake, I'll put out a couple tunes. This is the first of the set : )

When I read "Mako Reactor Theme" I thought, how on earth could he transcribe that to guitar?! Dang man that was so cool!!

@@pawankumaryadav387 there is no continuity between any of the games unless theyre direct sequels.
IE FF10-2 or FF13-2 for example. If one catches your eye play it. Theyre all good launch points.
Honestly, one of the most memorable soundtracks in the series. It's just so somber and kind of has influences based on what the reactor really symbolizes.

I just went through the whole soundtrack, and I think the only one that's suited to solo classical guitar that hasn't been done to death is I Won't Forget

FF VII in my opinion has one of the most epic soundtracks on the games' world ever, that one is one of many of my favorites. You've approached with such respect and did a pretty good job! Well done friend.

This is one of my favorote covers of yours! I've listen to it over and over. The repeated crescendo strumming of that one low bass note gives me goosebumps every time!

That raw muted repeating low E that you play (at the start, and then multiple times throughout) sounds even better than in the new remake of this song.

The Remake OST over-complicated things, losing it's emotional impact, which is why this simple cover sounds more powerful.

Duuude, this song fits an acoustic guitar so well and you couldn't have done better with it. This is awesome. 10/10
First playthrough I pronounced it in my head as MAYKO. My brother would always laugh when I read shit like that with my prepubescent vocabulary. So much of the humour and depth of the story went over my head back then, but yet made such a lasting emotional impact that rewards revisiting. Amazing arrangement. Well done bro!

This and anxious heart are two examples of excellent covers. Way better than the originals. I would’ve never even attempted a cover of them since they never really struck me that hard in game. Those two covers make me appreciate the originals more. Sweet job!
