Rocker arm issue isn’t anything to be super nervous about and anything built after 6/18 is safe. My S5SB (11/17 production) has the old rockers and I’m sitting at 85k abusive miles with APR Stage 1. Granted I’ve only launched it ~10 times and keep up on maintenance
@@SupErnaTuraL315 just got a 2018 with 65k miles and decided for peace of mind just to do the rockers, I don’t regret it but also $4k is a lot for preventative maintenance

If you think the B8.5 is in the same realm as the B9 or the B58 powered cars. Don’t get me wrong I loved my b8.5, the charger whine is intoxicating. But a max effort dual pulley e40 car is still only 500hp. The B9 can run e85 and FBO and it’s about the same as a Stage 2 340i on e30. Both are much faster than a dual pulley B8.5. I literally had the fortune of running a B8.5 dual pulley e40 S4 when my 340i was stock hardware on 93 tune only. He took the hit and by 140ish my hood was still glued to his rear fender. Now stage 2+ E30 has provided about another 100whp (380vs480) since then. That’s a bus on that same car and it took two parts and a tune ($425 TU HPFP and a $300 VRSF Downpipe with MHD e30 Stage 2+ tune $450). The B9 also mods up pretty similarly to my car also, e85 stage 2 tune FBO and it’s a dog fight for with my car. The B8 is way behind without crazy pulley ratios and a ported blower setup. That’s thousands in mods and the only people running those aggressive setups are mainly tracking the cars not necessarily daily driving them. Great car, but be realistic about what it is and can do. Still good value for tuning, just a software can unlock roughly 100hp at the crank. 440hp and AWD is not joke. My S4 used to be a stoplight terror, but it did fall off a bit on highway runs. RWD B58 has the opposite issue…traction is a bitch, but once hooked up it’s lights out.

Im definitely getting an S4 this year. SQ5 is fun but the brakes aren’t as good. I hate going fast and having to slam the brakes, SUV takes waaaay longer to stop. 😅 S4 here I come 💃🏽
@@tejinderlamba3 B9 is a different animal. It doesn't understeer like the B8/B8.5 S4s, I actually like Audi brakes better and BMW is a money hog. My Q5 and past A4 was very reliable even at 150k miles. My Q5 has 169k now. My BMW even with F80 M brakes doesn't brake as well. My A4 with SQ5 15" front brakes would introduce my face to the windshield even with seatbelt on in a violent manner. The rear wheels would threaten to elevate off the road even with stiffer track suspension. All things aside your S4 is something to cherish and I may still get one. Oh and no rod bearing issues.

I’m 5’ 10” 245 and I daily an A4. Car is decent size.
I'm 6'2 250 and daily an s4. Plenty of room. Prior to that I had a kona and fit fine as well

I don’t think it does but it would be right at its limit with bolt ons. Read on a forum that forged rods and pistons can push up towards 800-900hp
