Just got one today, but I must not have the trick of putting the open end into the slot figured out. Will try again, tomorrow. The tubing goes with an extra kit with which you can reseal standard and wide-mouth canning jars. Especially good for storing nuts, or sugar, or anything you want to keep fresh in storage!

Hi Nancy! That's the trickiest part for me when I first picked up a vacuum sealer, too, haha. Since this one has pretty stiff lid, it's hard to press down on it with one hand, while keeping the bag aligned with the other. I feel you!

u gotta wait till the red light on the seal button goes off before opnening it up. thats why u thinks its faster, because u never let it finish it sealing cycle
