Well, taking it with humor and even with a playful answer to the clone-mage is really something that demonstrates the vision and commitment of the brand to the watch community. This brand is on my wishlist since a while.
    Thank you for the video.

It was a breath of fresh air when Studio Underdog came along. It brought visibility to Microbrands with a very original, appealing and, above all, accessible pieces.
Unfortunately I have a very large wrist and I can't wear a 39 mm watch, which makes me very sad because I would love to have an Underdog watch.
I'm not against there being watches that pay homage to others, especially when the originals are 10 to 40 times more expensive than the homages. However, these from Proxima made me very uncomfortable because I don't see any reason for them to exist. I wouldn't be able to have the same fair play as Richard Benc, but... the simple fact of having led to the creation of 2 more fantastic watches from the 1st series... hands down, brilliant.
I wish Studio Underdog the greatest success and I hope, with some hope, that one day it will be possible to launch something for someone like me with the wrists of an elephant ;)

Love the brand! One question…the Swiss/Chinese movement that you use is also in other watches like the Seagull 1963.
The 1963 can be found for under $200. Why the big price difference?

@@frogsplorer They're just throwing the fully made movement into their case, there isn't a lot of labor costs for the "assembly" in the UK. The market up is because of the marketing and demand. Their margins on this watch are pretty large.

The Proxima clone of your microbrand watch has totally put your brand on my radar. Were it not for the Reddit comments, I never would have been aware of your microbrand. I do like that Proxima did not copy the tachymeter racetrack and that they did not try to copy the ornamental designs of the case and the chronograph push buttons. I also note that Proxima did to try to duplicate the dial on your watches. I hope that both companies can find a way to grow together.

lol crazy i came across the clone myself and was curious about the original, now im here just like you mentioned. while the original is pricey it isnt anything you cant save up for to eventually make the purchase. that's my new goal now, i definitely would like a watch from the brand.

Given the current success of microbrands, it was only a matter of time before someone in china copied the new designs. Fortunately, the copy is really bad. But what do they do when the copies get closer to the original, as is the case with many historical originals?
