"...Now that I'm a mature adult..." Congratulations, Agent Dyson. You've finally told a lie too big, and blown your cover. (Then again, who am I to talk?)
Imagine if Everything Or Nothing was the 4th Brosnan Bond film that celebrated the franchise's 40th anniversary insted of DAD? That would of been awesome
I actually replayed that level several times just to listen to Mya singing the song in the background. I think that there's something so genuine about that version; with the echo, the lounge music; it all works together to make you believe that someone _is_ singing the song somewhere in the house.
I LOVE this game, I've been waiting for you to review this since you did Nightfire! Don't get me wrong I absolutely love Nightfire but this game truly felt like I was watching a James Bond movie, I desperately wish they would remake this or re-release it in HD.
Calvin Dyson Then again I never played any of the games after Goldeneye Reloaded featuring Craig, so the last good Brosnan era game is what I should say >_>.
8:42, I literally thought the same as you! John Cleese is just awesome here while explaining the gadgets! xD Looks like the MI6 HQ in 11:08,and that 'picture in air' from 11:20 - 11:26 are inspired from 'The World Is Not Enough'! And 13:26 - 13:32, is funny too! :D Great review like always, Calvin!
Personally I loved Everything or Nothing. I would love to see it turned into a film and I loved the reference to Zorin (my favourite villain!) Really love your videos!
Having Pierce Brosnan and Willem Dafoe in this is just... so... awesome. XD And yeah, I never liked third person either... I did always feel like a floating robot thing looking down at my character.
I still can't believe they got Willem Dafoe for a video game... I mean, the rest of the cast outside the regulars I think belong in a game rather than film but Dafoe could easily be a full on cinematic Bond villain!
Great review, Calvin! I always loved this game, and always thought it should've been made into a film, as it would've been a perfect outing for Brosnan's Bond career in my opinion. I enjoy all of your videos. You're a very entertaining guy and a true Bond fan like I am. I can't wait to see reviews of the other Bond games, if you decide to do them. Keep up the good work, man!
Heads up....During the SNIPER LEVEL, you'd said that, once the bad guys were shot, they'd say ridiculously, "Stop it!!" Listen to it again. What the guy really says is, "I'm hit!!"
Yessss!!!! I love the title sequence too, and the campaign was superb! I am so glad you are finally reviewing Everything or Nothing! I am looking forward to part 2! I also really enjoy the co-op mode, though the story is non-existent and for some reason you don't get to play as Bond characters....But the versus mode is just downright laughable.... haha.
Those scenes when you made fun of the Q briefing and the making of the trainer exercise were the funniest things you ever said. I had to pause the video I was laughing so hard
I like that the game forces you to be really bored while listening to Q babble on about his inventions. It really adds to the authentic Bond experience.
Great review for a great game. Your accent is perfect lol. My childhood favourite will always be Nightfire, but this game and Goldeneye are close seconds.
I know the feeling, because after I heard the theme song for this game, I thought, "Wow, it's almost as if I thought Joanna Pacitti was singing this", even though I knew at that point that it was actually mya that was singing this X)
Pretty sure MI-6 headquarters is in Scotland in this game due to the little “incident” that happened to it in The World Is Not Enough since that castle looks eerily similar to the one in the film. Not sure why they wouldn’t have moved back after the events of that film, but I’m guessing they liked it there more? 😋
Thank you for finally doing this Calvin! I would like to ask you what you think about the bullet graphic in the gun barrel sequence that is found within the main credit sequence, I think I remember you saying you disliked it. About the section where Bond blows up the building, I always took the cutscene there as being after he had searched for Nadanova. And about your questioning of Richard Kiel's name in the credits, I believe they did his motion capture to get an accurate modelling of his face quite like they did for the rest of the cast. The Q sections annoyed me because of the length of them. I think having an extra cutscene for the vehicle is a little stupid myself. They should have had it in the room where you already are. The Scotland thing I never understood either. They had fully repaired MI-6 by Die Another Day and if they think that's not good enough for them, why did they slap on the whole invisibility? Great review all in all! Please review Thunderball soon. That was one of the only two things left in my list after Fleming, alongside GoldenEye for the N64!
I would say Goldeneye would be the best overall video game, since it has the best gameplay, but the best Bond game? Not even close, Goldeneye had no essence of the Bond films, other than being based on the movie.
Great review as usual, mate. I thought this was entertaining but it didn't feel like pure Bond to me. I've always loved Agent Under Fire the most personally. That was just my first PS2 game and I've never been able to agree with the generally negative response to it. You really should review all the Bond games. Even the old ones.
Oh god this brings so many memories back :D I loooooved this game; played it on the GameCube. For me, Nightfire had the best multiplayer, but EoN has the best, "Bondiest" story mode. I remember I was in middle school and starting to get better at english (I'm from Spain) when this game came out, and I was all happy because I understood the song lyrics :') and I sang it quietly while in school hahahaha x'D Great reviews, man :) cheers.
I have the Gamecube version too. I remember enjoying the game quite a bit back in the day. The vehicle levels were really fun, especially compared to how EA did the vehicle levels in From Russia With Love. It was really fun driving the Aston Martin Vanquish again. I really liked the weapons and gadgets as well. The coin grenades and Q spider really made for a unique game. I was a little disappointed that the Walther P99 in the game lacked the 16 round magazine capacity (the developers based the in game version of the pistol on the 10 round civilian version not the military/ law enforcement version that appears in the other games). I always needed to reload frequently in the non stealth based levels. Overall defiantly one of the best James Bond video games to come out since Rare produced Goldeneye 007 for the Nintendo 64.
As a lifetime Bond fan I played this game for a bit, but gave up after the driving missions. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought the deflector shield platform was way out of place. Thank goodness casino royale was only 2 years away! I wonder when we'll get a new Bond game that isn't half bad? I'm hoping for the Bloodstone sequel but it'll never come :(
11:32 Q's assistant character might have been added as a 'dry run' to having the character in the mooted fifth Pierce movie, but more likely the character replaces Moneypenny who's absent from the game entirely.
Around 9:30 if this man really had Zorin for a teacher, mentor and friend, he must have been one of the very few people he considered his true friends. Zorin is (was) a psychotic, highly dangerous individual, but even he had rare people he cared for. May Day however, was not one of them.
I know you've done pleanty of bond game reviews, but have you ever done some of the earlier games such as he world is not enough I think you going through both versions of this game would be interesting, or 007 racing, you've done pretty damn good with these.
Calvin have you played 007 bloodstone? It's from 2010 and has Daniel Craig as bond, it follows a lot of the quantum of solace style tone so I'm curious to hear your thoughts on it!
Loving the review, Calvin! Are you going to review Bloodstone too? It's another game that "could" be its own Bond movie, because it has its own plot and somewhat high profile voice actors. I didn't think much of it, but I'd love to see you review it.
It was an alright game, though I hated the open-ended conclusion when there will likely never be a sequel. I would love to see a review of that one as well.
Over 60.000 views and only 24 dislikes? CZcams must give you an award or something. im not kidding. Great review. Excited for IO Interactive's 007 game?
Thanks very much! Really appreciate that, particularly as this is quite an old video now! Glad you enjoyed it :D and yes I'm super psyched for the IO Interactive game! We're a ways off from it being close to release of course but my hype is still very real!
@Robin Banks they'd have to tell him about the game. You need permission to use someone's name and likeness in a video game. Him doing motion capture is very unlikely due to the state of his body at the time. Being unnaturally tall is a great strain on your body after a while. It's like being severely overweight, your body isn't built to sustain such mass besides his body was much different to how it was in the 1970's he was much fatter. Him doing dialogue is also very unlikely as there is no dialogue. I highly doubt they're going to fly him over just to do some grunts.
I love this game, I just wish it was Daniel Craig. Also, I’m much more of an MI guy, so I wish Operation Surma had driving levels and stuff like this game.
Star Wars didn't invent sci-fi. Also, it's not a bad thing to bring sci-fi elements into the Bond universe. GoldenEye 64 and Agent Under Fire have the best soundtracks in Bond games. Stealth suits were made before Harry Potter. They're also awesome.
did you also know that that in the final level you talked about you can either load up the aston into the back of the van or just take the van without it making for a much harder car chase later on
Everything or nothing is a great James bond game i have got it on ps2 i play it alot i am going to get the game boy advance version of it at some point because I started collecting James bond game on Nintendo handheld console
Fun little fact, in the demo for this game on the bike fighting jaws; the part where you slide under the tanker the music kicks in and its so much more badass than the retail version sadly, you should check it out. Plays the james bond soundtrack in a techno type way.
I prefer the jazz version of the theme song as well. It's funny you mentioned that one since a friend of mine who is a lovely singer is going to cover that song with me very soon :D
I feel like they could have made the intro to the gadgets a cool little filler level where he walks you around the lab and you get to try them out Two minutes later: WHY DID THEY DO BOTH?!
They should make a Bond action RPG. Have action elements like shooting, stealth, driving, etc. and add things like exploration and branching dialogue paths/choosing your own play style. The dialouge thing in particular I think would really add to the sense that you're a spy.
If you check the page 'James Bond 007 The Video Games' on Facebook they've recently uploaded a video of the proposed Brosnan 2005 game!! Totally 100% new to me and reminded me of just how much I miss seeing Brosnan running around in a tuxedo causing total mayhem. It looked great!
The graveyard level... One of the hardest levels ever made for a video game ever! Its atrocious and also kinda bad, like nothing special actually happens. You tend also to get lost quite a bit which ends in your obvious death. I still don't know whether this level is harder or the hangar part of the last level. I'm torn for this one. But they are both synonyms of hell imo.
when I finally beat that mission on 00, my 9 year old self had a glimpse of what I found out two years later was called an orgasm! utter joy! I danced around the house for the rest of the day... good times.
I like both first and third person but prefer third person. I feel that is more immersive to actually see my character move around in the world and not just through his or her eyes.
I do get what you mean about the first person third person comment but I prefer third person with the ability to go into first person. You also mention it in the blood stone review but I like seeing the character models
I know music is subjective but I was truly shocked when you said you actually liked that theme song. It is without doubt the worst Bond music I've ever heard haha.
Well I think Everything or Nothing should have been a movie it has all the elements of a film it would have done better as a film I think. Calvin what do you think?
Well the game already was based on an unreleased movie in the first place, because they canceled the movie they decided to do a game of it instead. There is a documentary regarding the unreleased Everything or Nothing movie.
I'm glad Activision lost the Bond license. They seemed more than satisfied making one boring, linear COD knockoff after another. Where was the innovation?
Yes, when Goldeneye came out...I could tell they weren't interested in making a quality Bond game, they just felt like making a COD game with the Bond name taped on it..hopefully another competent company gets it; I wouldn't mind EA getting it again...maybe they'll get a team as good as Eurocom back together.
SolarDragon007 Not only that but the terrible marketing decision in releasing Blood Stone (Probably the BEST Activision Bond game) at the same time as Goldeneye; gee I wonder what's going to sell better, the thing tugging at everyone's nostalgia or the new thing next to it....
lbonini1gaming Even Bloodstone was just another 3rd person cover shooter though. I kind of want a Bond action RPG like Deus Ex. Something that combines the familiar bond game tropes like shooting, driving, stealth, hand to hand combat, etc. and brings exploration, non linear missions, character progression, and branching dialogue choices to the mix. I think these things would work really well in bond game and would add a lot of depth. What do you think?
SolarDragon007 Excellent idea, while I have never played Deus Ex, Bond really DOES require all of the things you said, things like driving and shooting where most game developers get it wrong...It'd sure be interesting to see how a non-linear Bond game would play out, I'm assuming you mean like if Bond chooses to use his "overdeveloped trigger finger" on someone he'd be better off keeping alive, then his next mission will either be different or impacted in some way?
Even though you can play both games on the same console, but graphic wise. The Aston Martin from Nightfire and this game is night and day. It just looks so much better on this game. Better engine sound, appearance, machine gun fire/gun-flash and everything. (no pun intended)
00 Agent Difficulty is a massive kick in the DICK (among things, the Goon Limo goes at LIGHTSPEED in Mardi Gras Mayhem, almost DEMANDING you get the 007 Moment just to complete. (He has a pattern, not too hard to set up and burn the rubber from those tires.))
The only time I accept a loading screen before a short cutscene and then another loading screen to another cutscene is if the cutscene uses the ingame models, which this game does, and if there is tons and tons of models in the cutscene, like say a shot of hundreds of people running away from some evil device and the people are pretty detailed. This makes sense because it needed time to load all those human models, but when its for a scene that doesn't have much in it, it's unnecessary. I mean look at Sonic '06 (Sonic The Hedgehog is the real name but totally different game from the original) like half of that game is loading screens, and then the other half is poorly done, and broken gameplay.
Although I have been dubbed an Anglophile by the people who know me, I have no shame in saying that your channel is absolutely Brilliant. I'm very glad to have stumbled upon you and your brand of intelligent and original humor.
Okay I know I am seriously late to this. But serious question at the beginning of this it'sintro sequence is the girl in the green with the red hair supposed to be Carla The jackal from the last game. If so that is a great Easter egg and great way to bridge the games together.
@@Thatguy55595 well she did but that whole game is based on the fact that pretty much everyone is a clone. From Zoe nightshade to Nigel block to the ambassador guy etc. So did Carla actually meet her end at the hands of bond or was it one of the clones? I don't know for sure but it would make sense.....just a fan theory....
Ian Brewster that’s a good point man. Maybe that was a clone. Shame we’ll never get a sequel... or a Nightfire sequel apparently there was one planned but it got canceled. It was called Phoenix Rising. So lame
Calvin at 8:50: "That's way too sci fi for Bond!"
Cubby Broccoli: “We're not science fiction, we're in fact science fact."
The idea that Christopher Walken mentored Willem Dafoe as a Bond villain is the shit nightmares are made of.
Remember the days when Electronic Arts used to be good.
yousef hussain that's gotten worse in the past few weeks
Pepperidge Farm remembers.

and not an evil company that only wants your money
As with almost every successful game company EA fell to the dark side.
Richard Kiel is most likely in the credits for his likeness not his voice work
That would make sense to be honest!
Calvin - Bond Reviewer its hilarious they got richard kiel just to do a couple of grunts when they could have get another actor
If that’s the case, wouldn’t Brosnan be credited in Nightfire since they used his likeness but not his voice?
Is really a shame that Richard Kiel died, he was my favorite bond villian
I actually met him once many years ago, he was a nice man. Quite possibly the tallest guy i have ever seen.
Darkstar263 He could play the role of Larch in some new gen adaptation of The Addams Family
Moonranker, the spy who loved me, live and let die best Jaws related movies in my opinion
landcaster 4 But Jaws wasn't in Live and Let Die.
I really liked his performance in Happy Gilmore as Adam Sandler’s former boss.
Everything or Nothing could have been made into a movie, it was very cinematic. A great Bond game I did have a lot of fond memories playing this one!
If it was made into a movie who would have been the director
Imagine a 3rd person shooter/ stealth James Bond game where you can choose any James Bond skin (Connery to Craig) It would rule.
it damn well would
Oscar Sovngarde I was looking for that for bloodstone
Bobby Jensen
That would be great. Sadly, licensing likenesses has been a mixed bag for this franchise :(

Fun little fact, in the demo for this game on the bike fighting jaws; the part where you slide under the tanker the music kicks in and its so much more badass than the retail version sadly, you should check it out. Plays the james bond soundtrack in a techno type way.
I LOVE this game.
day3 of asking for a EoN review and i found it although im asking for an updated version! better quality and longer!! but keep it up!!
This is a great game. I consider this bronsons final film
Yes this could have been his 5th movie
I just got this game off of eBay. It brings back sooo many memories .
I'm not going to lie, that stung when you said you prefer this game's title song to Goldfinger. lol
I knew that had the potential to be controversial...
I prefer the jazz version of the theme song as well. It's funny you mentioned that one since a friend of mine who is a lovely singer is going to cover that song with me very soon :D
Yeah 2010 Goldeneye was great. By the way I My friends dad is Ed Kramer, One of the grafics designers for Nightfire!
I feel like they could have made the intro to the gadgets a cool little filler level where he walks you around the lab and you get to try them out
Two minutes later: WHY DID THEY DO BOTH?!
Yes! Finally!
They should make a Bond action RPG. Have action elements like shooting, stealth, driving, etc. and add things like exploration and branching dialogue paths/choosing your own play style. The dialouge thing in particular I think would really add to the sense that you're a spy.
11:28 I absolutely love this quote.
Shannon Elizabeth will look exactly like Jordan Kramer/Jigsaw from American Pie's versions of the Saw video game.
If you check the page 'James Bond 007 The Video Games' on Facebook they've recently uploaded a video of the proposed Brosnan 2005 game!! Totally 100% new to me and reminded me of just how much I miss seeing Brosnan running around in a tuxedo causing total mayhem. It looked great!
the opening level reminds me of the pretitle sequence of tomorrow never dies
The graveyard level... One of the hardest levels ever made for a video game ever! Its atrocious and also kinda bad, like nothing special actually happens. You tend also to get lost quite a bit which ends in your obvious death. I still don't know whether this level is harder or the hangar part of the last level. I'm torn for this one. But they are both synonyms of hell imo.
when I finally beat that mission on 00, my 9 year old self had a glimpse of what I found out two years later was called an orgasm! utter joy! I danced around the house for the rest of the day... good times.
Pfft, it was p*ss easy.
I like both first and third person but prefer third person. I feel that is more immersive to actually see my character move around in the world and not just through his or her eyes.
hace you ever watched the james bond jr animated series?
I do get what you mean about the first person third person comment but I prefer third person with the ability to go into first person. You also mention it in the blood stone review but I like seeing the character models
I know music is subjective but I was truly shocked when you said you actually liked that theme song. It is without doubt the worst Bond music I've ever heard haha.
Hah, I just realized you beat me to the Denise Richards references after watching the entire video. Oh well!
What is the name of this documentary?
Well it would have been pretty cool to see the game transformed into a movie.
This would've been better than Die Another Day
@@potatogod9134 It does WAY MORE to celebrate Bond and all those years than Die Another Day ever could.

You don't sound anything like John Cleese, but somehow I could just see Basil Fawlty there
I'm glad Activision lost the Bond license. They seemed more than satisfied making one boring, linear COD knockoff after another. Where was the innovation?
Yes, when Goldeneye came out...I could tell they weren't interested in making a quality Bond game, they just felt like making a COD game with the Bond name taped on it..hopefully another competent company gets it; I wouldn't mind EA getting it again...maybe they'll get a team as good as Eurocom back together.
lbonini1gaming That would be nice. I agree about the GE remake. I don't get why it got so much praise. Probably the nostalgia factor
I believe Richard Kiel (R.I.P) did the motion capture of Jaws in addition to voicing a couple of grunts.
Even though you can play both games on the same console, but graphic wise. The Aston Martin from Nightfire and this game is night and day. It just looks so much better on this game. Better engine sound, appearance, machine gun fire/gun-flash and everything. (no pun intended)
Hey Calvin. Did you know that the Kiss Kiss Club was in Thunderball?
Glad I am not the only one to find the Goldfinger song to be extremely overrated.
Likewise!
I can't stand Shirley bassey's voice in it
Are you going to review Goldeneye 64?
Yes :D
00 Agent Difficulty is a massive kick in the DICK (among things, the Goon Limo goes at LIGHTSPEED in Mardi Gras Mayhem, almost DEMANDING you get the 007 Moment just to complete. (He has a pattern, not too hard to set up and burn the rubber from those tires.))
11:15 you did say some of thye older games werent as cinematic I guess you got it.
Ahhh you summed it up better than I did there! Thanks for that! :D
Calvin Dyson You're welcome. Can't wait for tomorrow to see Part 2. :D
+Calvin Dyson | James Bond Reviewer What did you say at 15:58?
Although I have been dubbed an Anglophile by the people who know me, I have no shame in saying that your channel is absolutely Brilliant. I'm very glad to have stumbled upon you and your brand of intelligent and original humor.
Are you going to read and review the novels at some point?
Oh yes!! Very soon in fact!
Okay I know I am seriously late to this. But serious question at the beginning of this it'sintro sequence is the girl in the green with the red hair supposed to be Carla The jackal from the last game. If so that is a great Easter egg and great way to bridge the games together.
Didn’t she die in Agent Under Fire
@@Thatguy55595 well she did but that whole game is based on the fact that pretty much everyone is a clone. From Zoe nightshade to Nigel block to the ambassador guy etc. So did Carla actually meet her end at the hands of bond or was it one of the clones? I don't know for sure but it would make sense.....just a fan theory....
Ian Brewster that’s a good point man. Maybe that was a clone. Shame we’ll never get a sequel... or a Nightfire sequel apparently there was one planned but it got canceled. It was called Phoenix Rising. So lame
@@Thatguy55595 maybe we shall get a fan sequel....one can hope
Ian Brewster the fan games all get copyright blocked that’s what happened to the new fan Goldeneye smh
The graveyard level is my favorite
Did anyone else ever have a probably getting stuck a lot?I remember playing it and getting stuck all the time!No one?
U should do 007 from Russia with love for the ps2 and xbox :)
