6살레 MBC에서 해 주던 장영주님 다큐를 보고 그 후로 엄마를 보채서 바이올린을 언니와 같이 배웠었어요. 지금은 바이올린을 제대로 켜지도 못 하지만 여전히 바이올린 협주곡과 각종 클래식은 즐겨 듣고 있습니다. 그리고 저는 장영주님 하면 이상하게도 성인이 되어서 연주하신 것도 물론 좋지만 고등학생의 나이에 연주하신 파가니니와 멘델스존이 더 좋더라고요...그리고 이 곡이 울려퍼진 피렌체의 베키오궁은 제 이태리 여행 중 꼭 가봐야 할 버킷리스트였고 실제로 다녀왔습니다! 5살 부터 저기를 꼬오오옥 가봐야지 했는데 어찌나 감격스럽던지.. 제가 비록 비평가나 연주가는 아니지만 잠시나마라도 따뜻하고 온화한 그 어릴 적의 감상을 느낄 수 있다는 것 만으로도 정말 감사합니다. 앞으로도 오래오래 좋은 연주 많이 들려 주세요.
Wow,, what a beautiful young lady, and a wonderful talent, given by God.
Paganini is SO DEMANDING and she launched into it with perfect technical aplomb and still made it light and expressive. I had this on while working and had to give it my full attention. Very, very impressive.

@@lorenaoliveira2015 Well, his violin playing was so astonishingly accomplished that to some it seemed like he was simply possessed by the devil. When Paganini heard that, he embraced it instead of being offended by it, and used it in his introductions to his concerts by the use of stage lights, shadows, and sounds. Yes, he used that as a publicity stunt; the man was simply incredible. There’s a movie about Paganini featuring David Garret, it’s worth watching. It’s called, you guessed it: “Devil’s Violinist”

Sarah's great talent with her violin 🎻 is a passion which comes from the 💓 heart a joy to see and hear . I love music but am unable to play an instrument but when I hear musicians play it makes up for my inability to play myself

Ms Chang proves the scripture, "All gifts come down from God, the Father of lignts in Whom there is no shadow of turning at all. " Music is such a gift to us, both to those who create it and those who hear it. Yes, she has worked and studied hard but thanks be to God Who gave her the ability, placed her in a home where her gifts would be discovered, nurtured a n d shared with the world.
Someone said 'a person's gifts make room for them' and Ms. Chang exemplifies that perfectly with grace and beauty. Brava!

Ok People, You all just heard and saw one of the BEST Performances EVER!!!!!! What Sarah did here to one of the hardest pieces to play is beyond comprehension!!!! The first time I heard her was in the early 1990's.... I asked my parents after taping and playing it for them how old they thought this player was? My Dad said 29. I said nope, 11. Incredible!!!! Thumbs down clickers can only be those who were so awed and shocked by her playing that they spazzed out and hit the wrong thumb.
Paganini is uniquely beautiful. The violenist Sarah plays like an angel. 🎼🎶🎻
IMO Sarah and Perlman are the greatest violinists of our time. However let's not forget Paganini, composer and incredible violinist.

Sarah Chang’s rendition of this master piece by Paganini is by far the best violin concerto there is.Her dexterity and virtuosity is a sound to behold.I have lost count of the number of times I have repeatedly listen to it without a tinge of feeling bored.
Miss Uchida has also performed this composition magnificently. We should not compare violinists. They each bring their own style to the fore. However the violinist you refer to,is also an imaculate performer.

i am not a musician but i got inspired by other youtubers playing difficult pieces and suddenly stumbled on Sarah Chang's video. Honestly, her facial expression makes it look so easy listening to than playing the violin. Memorizing a 20 min piece of music is not easy i bet.
Paganini should be MAD salty that he wasn't able to hear Sarah Chang play his work. He would've hugged and thanked her as she executed the concerto HIS way.

Paganini was not the best composer there is, however his diabolic technic for playing the violin makes many violin players stay away from his concertos and only the very best dare to play them!!

She played Mendelssohn with the NYP under Kurt Masur in 1995 at the age of 15. She played Tchaikovsky with MSO under Charles Dutoit in 1992 at the age of 12. I guess this Paganini was played in 1994. These were her most innocent years and for me her best years. Her playing touches my heart.
She is clearly an adult .

performing a concerto by Henri Vieuxtemps years ago. She's one of the best! Now 37 years
young! A gift from God to The Republic of South Korea, and to the WORLD!
