They must have forgotten about the initial hit after they had to sort out everything else from the fight, I guess. But that is how it normally is when it comes to fighting in sports. It's always the retaliation that gets busted.
That being said, yeah, they missed a huge unsportsmanlike there. They probably missed a few more, given how massive that fight was.

@@Red_the_dead_in_bed_2 I’m Australian and only follow the NFL part time but even I know that particular tackle was overly aggressive, intentionally reckless . It is absolutely beyond me that with six referees on the field that not one of them picked that up.

Never cared much for the "disqualified" label, "ejected" sounds better, but even stronger sounding to me would be:
