If I wanted to filter chlorophyll out of a plant oil with ethanol extraction. How would I go about it with DE Earth and activated charcoal or carbon x. You mentioned sandwiching activated charcoal between two coffee filters. How would that work versus mixing the solution with activated charcoal briefly and then pouring through a cake of DE Earth?
If one wanted to use activated charcoal for filtering in addition to the filter in the Buchner funnel, what would be the best way to go about it? Would adding a layer of charcoal to the filter in the Buchner funnel be the best way to go about doing it? So when you pour the substance into the funnel, it first goes through the activated charcoal layer, THEN through the filter paper. Let me know what you think.
How long does the solution stay sterile? I want to fill up sterile solutions in ampoules and seal them but doesnt get the solution contaminated if the solution stays in an open ampoule for about 2-3 minutes after sealing?
How to find area for the filtartion, what amount of vacuum is required, at that vacuum how much amount of air required to support filter, & belt, how's the test work help to actual process design for horizontal vacuum belt filter?

sterile? depends on the solvent. for ethanol, until it dries up.
