  • Marineland is a massive amusement and animal park on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. This theme park features a small, but unique ride lineup with rides such as Dragon Mountain and Sky Screamer. Then you also have sea and land creatures scattered about. But the most notable thing about this park is how weird it is. Find out why in this review!

The fact that the employees drive trucks and golf carts but just force the guests to walk the whole way seems kind of annoying when you’re visiting

As someone who has visited Marineland twice, I must say it is a pretty sad park with good potential. It was so weird being one of the only people there, especially in an area with so many tourists. It doesn't help that there were signs saying boycott Marineland near the entrance though...

I remember going there as kid. I remember really wanting to leave which is unusual but I understand why now… it’s normal to be frightened to see a whale in a fish tank. For me it was always weird… I remember the commercials and everything, like the “everyone loves marine land” one. Now looking back on it I’m glad I was able to visit for the experience… but screw that place.

I live in Niagara Falls. Marineland is terrible. My husband and I put this video on thinking it would be about the whales, we both went to this place on school trips. Everyone here Hates marineland. There is a whale graveyard in a field behind the park that was kept secret from the public until it was discovered by the police. The owner was known to drive around the park late at night shooting the captive deer

I love this channel, but animal abuse is not an option. Please don’t glorify it if it’s bad.

Bit of an update for this park, the place has a new owner, this is a gift from God, I’m sure the former park owner is in a worse place now for treating those animals like crap, hopefully the remove the animals and release them into the wild where they can be happy and focus on more amusement park.

I noticed you didn't mention Kiska... too depressing? We will find john holers grave someday and destroy it. The attractions mean nothing when the place is filled with cruelty. RIP Kiska, we will avenge you.

After hearing about the orca that died after being alone for 13 years I would give this place a zero!

As someone who lives in the area, a big problem with it is the location. It’s basically out of the way from downtown. Far away from the main attraction of Niagara Falls, the waterfall and downtown.

Can confirm based on the opinions of locals (I'm related to a few, and am friends with some locals, I went to school there) that yeah it's pretty sketch, the lack of people on Canada Day weekend kinda isn't shocking. I've fixed this place up in my head but can see Gene Staples having a massive "bring it back to life from defunct" project should he choose it in the future. Edit: gosh dang it I have that song in my head now ahhhh!

There were a lot more animals in the 80's.

Considering how much negative attention Marineland has received due to the poor treatment of many of its animals (and rightfully so), I think its best chance for survival is to phase the animal exhibits completely out and concentrate more on rides. Sure, it might feel more like a Canada's Wonderland clone then, but Niagara Falls is a large enough tourist area to support a full-fledged amusement park, and Wonderland could do with some of its crowds being dispersed. Marineland needs to reinvent itself. Otherwise, for rides, go to Canada's Wonderland. To see animals that

Cool to be so close to the water falls. This may be an empty park but the ride collection honestly isn't horrible and you get a walk on with pretty much everything. Dragon Mountain is a lot like Lock Ness and has a unique 1 of a kind element. The S&S Space Shot has stunning views, and a flat ride thats only 1 in North America.

i went here once as kid back in elementary school with tickets i won at a silent school auction and my favorite rides were Sky Screamer and Dragon Mountain, this would be a great park to shoot an indie horror film! (and yes those classic TV-Jingles do get stuck in your head now and then) Also that kiddie coaster design appeared in the OG Roller-coaster Tycoon 1+2

I visited the park when i was elementary school age in the 80's and had a lot of fun. Sad to see it the way it is now with buildings closed and less people there but it tends to be the trend with theme parks in recent times as what thrills and entertains people are changing.
