I was born in 90's when I was Penang, I guess due to education that I was given and the fewer experiences I have in outdoor, whenever I went to the beach all I see was the messy part of the beach, the abandoned boats, and bridges. But I do enjoy the view and the breeze, it just feels so relax. Now I am studying in Hong Kong, and somehow when I was looking at this video, I feel like I can smell the scent of the beach, feel the sunshine in between the leaves. I feel so sad now that I didn't understand that the most beautiful thing should not be viewed from the outside, it should be seen from the inside. What people have left, what stories they tell, each abandoned 'sampan' have its stories and each forsaken bridges have its stories too. Penang is beautiful from the inside.
This is probably one of the best comments this channel has ever received.
Wow, you are an exceptional filmmaker and Travel Vlogger! I love how the video delves into this hidden and overlooked bit of Malaysia that most would see as untouchable human and feline castaways, and cares enough to look below the surface to magically reveal a place with people and animals we can glimpse a moment of compassion and meaning .
Thank you! Very much appreciated.
Awesome. Cat beach.
Nice find.
these cats are really friendly!
thanks for uploading this!
An initiative by Madam Teviot..great deed, indeed..
really love your content, especially the stories!
Thank you! Very much appreciated.
Fascinating cat beach. Great video.
Thank you!
Touching story! I used to live up the hill , not far from Catbeach back in the 80's, and I remember going a sun-up to enjoy the cool morning air and Endilish breakfeast at a little Indian place on the beach.
Also touching but perhaps a bit profound to see someone like the older disabled man in the beginning. not also able to survive because of the charity provided to discarded felines. Seems a good effort and I was able to make a donation on their website at catbeachpenang.com
This is awesome.
amazing
Thank you!
I didnt know there's a cat beach in Malaysia.
This is one very cool unknown side of Penang. Gonna share this out. Amazing discovery and we thought Penang has been fully documented. It seems not.
Thank you! This place seems to be a totally grassroots effort, making it incredibly interesting.
I now have a question for your regular Q&A -- you seemed to be able to smell a good story. Have you gone to a place where your safety was threaten while pursuing the story?
On behalf of the many cats and kittens at Cat Beach Penang, meowy thanks to Wade for this lovely video that shares their story. Come visit! Adopt - Volunteer - Donate www.catbeachpenang.com

I’m having a cat population problem. Sorry to say I have no love for cats.
Haha yes, they multiply fast! I say get the biggest, meanest, ugliest cat you can find to scare the rest away. Like the one they had in the cage in this video!
Wade Shepard haha what an ingenious idea!
jerrywh3 Let me know if it works. It'll probably backfire when the badass cat gets a harem.
Wade Shepard oh crap an absolute possibility lol!!!
