When you cut the plastic door, only cut the bottom and 2 sides, leave the top attached. Then when you put the plastic next to the metal, bend the plastic door up at 90 degrees and put it over the top of the horizontal metal rod. Instant awning. Greater shade and rain coverage. Drill holes at all 4 corners of door to attach to metal crate and hold up end of awning with bungees or string (although the metal bar will do most of the holding up)
Depending on where you locate this hut you might consider patching that crack in the top with duct tape and cutting the bottom out completely. Fastening it to the "fence works" with some heavy duty wire or wire ties would hold the two together. I like the thought process, keep up the good work.
That really using the ol noggin instead of wasting money reuse reuse reuse..!💰!!💰! Waste not.. want not..!!! Great video...Looking forward to hearing about the new calves 😃👍😃
This works great for baby goats also.
What a great recycle - upcycle idea! May I suggest that you use a hole saw to cut the corners of the 'doorway' as that would be less likely to concentrate stresses on one point and help prevent cracking. And the metal basket - great ideas using it as hay feeder/bale protector!
Why not flip it over so it's weatherproof and you would have a drain?
Smart idea
This man knows what he is doing!! Love your videos!!
You said you were on spring break and going to pump out a few videos . . . when none came, I was afraid you all got struck with that blizzard that brought havoc to the western farmers . . . nice to see all seems well. Cheers.
Love the idea, awesome job, wow and cheap to,your so smart, love the little calf, cant wait to hear his story.hugs till next time.
Nice video. Would you wash them out after each calf to keep one from catching what the other had?
Could you use buge cord to attach it to the rim
how are you attaching the plastic to the metal to keep the parts together? I'm know some folks start their calves in these. I'm trying to get an idea how long they keep them in there.
Need to make a cap/vent
Where have you been. I know you said you had spring break obviously tons of work to do around the farm.
Great idea!😊
