I started to cry immediately, because this is so beautiful and I miss my cats so much.
My orange cat passed away 3 september 2021 (born october 2009), and then my other cat (his mother) passed away 29 april 2022 (born 2007). His passing was so sudden, it left me depressed for months, and I could see how the lack of his presence was also affecting my other cat, she missed him too. They did not nap together, and would hiss at each other from time to time, but that did not mean they did not appreciate one another. She changed so much after he was gone, it was sad to see. Having to lose both of them in such a short time has been hard. But now I think of them often, about what they have taught me in life, and I miss them so much. I have made a little shrine in their memory.

It really is, especially since this hit even harder for me since it reminded me of my first cat. He was a massive snugglebug and I had him since I was 3 months old, so practically most of my life. In 2020 we had to put him down as he was struggling, he had a massive lump of cancer on his jaw and above one of his eyes, as well as missing the left side of the row of his bottom teeth.

My cat had to be put down during 2018. Seeing this now actively made me tear up. I can still see him climbing up on my lap, feel his warm there every so often when I'm on the couch or just laying in bed. Little weirdo used to drool while he purred... He'd done that ever since he was a kitten...

I just adopted a kitten from a shelter today, I wasn’t planning to. He’s such a cuddle bug, he purrs nonstop, and as he’s curled up in my lap right now, I saw this video. I started sobbing. I don’t even know why. I just....know that he is so important, and I will protect him for his entire life.

I found my kitty in a bush, yelling her little heart out after being separated from her family after a storm. We didn’t originally plan to keep her since we already had three cats, but we took her home and began looking for someone who could take her. It had been about a week when she crawled up onto my bed and began to knead me and suckle on my blanket. I guess she decided I was her momma and truly… who was _I_ to separate her from her momma again? She’s gonna be my sweet little beastie for the rest of her life.

My grandpa was out gardening and he nearly sprayed her with the hose but he saw her just in time! She had little white paws so I named her Mittens
She was incredibly sick so no one thought she'd make it but I was with her 24/7 and she pulled through. She's the smallest cat I've ever seen but she's still here 💜

two of my cats were strays one was found near a dumpster by my aunt, the second was abandoned by her owners, and we also had a third kitty who was the runt of the litter but grew up and got real big, sadly the one that was the runt and the one my aunt found passed away a few years ago so now we're down to one

I cry every single time i listen to this. And as a result, my cat comes over and tries to headbutt my face while purring like a motor boat. She 'kneads' me just as much as I need her
This song made me cry so hard. I've had many cats in the past and my parent always had us get rid of them for different reasons, diseases we couldn't afford, Used to be an outside cat and we live in an apartment, a few other reasons, all of them were family cats except one. I got a 1 y/o cat named precious for my birthday when I was 9 and had precious for 4 years. I had her until I was 13 i remember the exact date of her death.. she died on exactly February 12th, 2020 when she had a horrible sickness and we had to put her down. I couldn't stop crying. i even tried to stop the vet as i was in the room and they told us she wouldnt make it and its better to put her to rest. I remember screaming and crying at the veterinarian, my mom had to hold me back, and had to take me out of the room right before she passed. I remember thinking it would be better if she cpuld spend her last few days with me, but now that im thinking back, i would rather have her put out of her misery instead of being miserable in her last few days, even if i loved her. She was my little baby, I loved her with all my heart. I remember I used to sing and she would come running. She used to love my singing voice, I was always told I was a good singer and apparently precious thought so too, But after she died I gave up on singing. I recently got somewhat into it but every time I sing any song I can't stop thinking about her, especially if I sing the first noel, as that was the song she loved the most, or one call away was out song, I'm not exactly sure why I made those songs our songs, I guess the first Noel because she always would come immediately running anytime I sang it, and she would sometimes even meow a bit while I was singing, I think I chose one call away because I was singing the chorus one time and it reminded me of her as she was laying on my lap, I started singing it to her and since that day it was our song. I can't hear either of those songs without bawling my eyes out. None of the other cats we had died, we just gave them away, she was the only one who actually died.
She was a very special cat, she had a half pink, half black nose. And all her little toepads were pink except one black one. I'm 16 now, and I can still see her even after 3 years. In the little grey pillows we have, out of the corner of my eye I think its her, I still cry over her. I miss her.. We got a dog and had her for 2 years but had to give her to a close friend, I can still see her but not very often as the person lives 5 hours away. We got two beautiful little kittens named Mario and Peach, a few weeks ago, they're three months. I hope nothing happens to them.
Funny thing is, about precious, well not very funny I guess, but no other cats we had liked me that much, I mean they liked me, but I wasn't their favorite. But with precious she rarely came to anyone else, she would follow me everywhere, And always cuddle with me, she even figured out how to unlock my bedroom door somehow, and she would unlock it and run in anytime she heard me lock myself in my room and cry. Sorry for my long comment. I miss my baby, anyways. She would be 7 as of today... I love you precious, I hope yoh remember me and are watching over me. I hope you sent these other cats who are cuddling with me right now, I hope they know exactly how to cheer me up like you did... I love you so so much, ill never forget you. I still have a little toy of hers she used to absolutely adore, I sleep with it every night since her death. I know its been like 2 years, but I need a full version of this song if not already made, please :) anyways, its 3:12am I should probably sleep. I have a feeling I won't be able to but ill at least try.
My cat is 15 years old, his name is Tiger, and my family had him before he could even open his eyes. He doesn't have much time left as he suffers from severe kidney failure and is slowly dying. After I listened to this song I went over to him, pet him down, with him nuzzling into my chin then he ran over to his pack of treats and begged for some.

Me too, I just lost a litte kitten that meant the world to me, she was attacked by other adult cat, she was just a few days from compleating 2 months.
I can't watch this with out crying. It makes me think of the dear little friends I've had to say goodbye to. It reminds me that the little friend now I will have to say goodbye to someday, but it also reminds me to appreciate however much time I have with my little buddy. And in the years to come I know I will also share my heart with more little friends. Not much more rewarding and heartbreaking than caring for a cat or any animal through its life.

Fern is the only one alive today, and this song touched my heart. I'm not one for slow songs, but this is a masterpiece. Even adult cats still knead, and it mostly means that they remember their kittenhood. And if they do it on you it means that they remind you of their mother.

My cat shockingly doesn't like laps much, but he'll still knead anything available when he sees me. Sometimes even the air when he's laying on his back. When he was a kitten, he used to do it while standing up, even on the hard floor. I'd call it his 'tap dancing.' He still taps occasionally, but not as much now. He's a sweet boy all the same.

@@yashuuu3559 im allergic, we have 2 cats, and im taking at least one with me when i move out. it does suck having a runny nose almost every day but allergies do desensitive over time and with a specific cat, so if you were to get a cat and be around it a lot your allergies wouldnt be as bad around it. theres also allergy meds. i take a 24 allergy pill

same. there was this viral infection going around, killed 6 of my cats and it all happened in under a week. 3 were 3 months old and the other 3 were 6 months old. i miss them all so much this totally broke me
This is so sweet and cute and I can’t stop crying it makes me think of my cats (two of which are not still with me) and I feel so sad and happy listening to this! It makes me think of my cat Cherry, who to this day never lets me get up in the morning until I make her a little kitty nest with my legs and kneads me. And this song makes me think of my cat Julien, he kneads EVERYTHING! Especially me. And Cordelia, who is a nonstop head kneader. And of my cat Suzanne, (not with me anymore,) she would always knead me for a long time before curling up and waiting for me to pet her. She died young, and I miss her so much!

Maybe it was just me, but something about this song doubled with the animation hit me so hard I started bawling. It's something so soft, so warm, so loving and real I couldn't even fathom the emotions that exploded in my chest. I lost my cat, one of my youngest therapy animals, Shy, to cancer just last week. I haven't been able to process my emotions over her passing for awhile, but this song really helped.

I also had a cat that always makes me feel better when am sad she was 4 mouths but she stayed with us almost 2 months and my cousin asked me if she can keep the kitten so I was okay with that and i used to visit them every two weeks but one day the cat got sick because she ate a raw meat my cousin quickly got her to the vet until now we don’t know nothing about the kitty but the vet said that there is no medicine for her sickness so she’s in between death and life when I heard that my heart just shattered I couldn’t hold it and teared up i pray for her every day hope she’ll get better life 😢🧡
My outdoor cat (neutered and microchipped), Almost, always kneads when he’s on my lap, especially when it’s cold. He’s around 2 or 3 years old and I think he must’ve been abandoned by or lose his mom when he was a kitten, because he kneads and sucks at my clothes sometimes when we’re cuddling. I guess he thinks I’m his long lost mother. I’ve had him for about a year and a half and he is such a nice kitty. He also loves belly rubs and will often try to knead the air while I do it. There’s nobody else like Almost. ❤

This was barely more than a minute and left me bawling like a baby. My cat died in January. I got her when I was a kid and was part of my life for almost 17 years. She never left my side when I was at home. This made me realize how much I miss her, once more. Thank you, it's truely beautiful.

The orange cat looks just like my old cat Parker who passed a few years ago and this song reminds me of him so much, I cried. He got out and something got to him. when he came back there was a wound on his neck that was mostly healed but he couldnt meow above a raspy whisper. I miss him so much

I feel you my tuxedo just came out of my closet like 5 yrs ago I had just taken here to vet as she wasn’t eating or drinking much and seemed to sleep longer they did test on Thursday by Saturday she came stumbling from her fav sleep/hide spot in my bedroom foaming at mouth within like 20 secs ( the longest in my life ) she passed away( July 2019) but I thankfully i had her big sister to share my sadness and give the extra love I had to until she passed away after 21yrs in her sleep I adopted another little girl recently as I still had lots of love to give and really missed having kitty and I know my other girls were up there helping me to choose one that needed love as this little one mom got run over while carrying her across to wherever she had taken the other kittens
Oh my goodness! I had a tuxedo cat named Sylvester growing up! Maybe Sylvester is just going through his nine lives making our lives better as he goes.
We had a black and white cat called Sylvester and he was the absolute best 😢 He made me into the crazy cat person I am now 😂 Unfortunately we lost him three years ago tomorrow (8.12.2020) because of Feline Aortic Thromboembolism. He'll always have a special place in our hearts! ❤

R.I.P my sweet baby peanut.. She was 3 years old and I had saved her from sickness when she was half a year old. She died in my arms on Christmas Day due to a heart attack. Thank you for this beautiful song. It really helped go with the flow of my emotions. I will always love you peanut 🥜 😢

since everyone is sharing their own cat stories, i'll share mine too.
when i was about 4-5 years old, my mom would send me to my grandma's house while she went to work. there was this stray cat that my grandma would let in the house all the time. it was a male ginger cat, i ended up naming him "oyen" (it's a play on the word 'orange' for malaysians). he wasn't a very sweet or affectionate cat but i absolutely loved playing him. the memory i remember the most with him was when i pretended to play chef with him, i'd pretend to cook and the "food" was the pillows from the couch. i'd "serve" it to him and he'd look at me with the most unamused face ever. his face never failed to make me laugh.
as time passed and i grew older i stopped going to my grandma's house and well, started going to a daycare. the day i came back to my grandma's house, probably when i was about 7 years old, he wasn't there. i didn't cry or anything but i felt a little disappointed. but from what i guessed, he'd probably already passed away at that point (he already looked like a senior kitty when i first started playing with him). but till this day, i miss him. he was the very first cat that made me fell in love with them. anyways, i hope oyen is having the time of his life playing around in heaven. :)
my grandparents also had a stray cat they named Cha, but she got hit by a car... Everytime they mention her name, I try to hold back tears.. anyways, I am so sorry for your loss.

This song reminds me so much of a kitten I tried to rescue named Smink.
I found him abandoned in a box, wailing while trying to snuggle against the cold, stiff bodies of his siblings. He was shivering, only three weeks old at the time and desperately hungry.
I brought him in and did my best to save him, but he passed away four days later from a bacterial infection. He died snuggled against my chest, clinging to my neck as he purred his last. I cry every time I listen to this song, both from guilt that I wasn't able to save him and relief that at least he passed away knowing that he was loved.
Rest in peace Smink, you were too young to die and I wish I could've done more to save you.
Edit: Thank you everyone who showed condolences to my baby Sminker. I don't think I can rescue another cat after this, but I'm just grateful that he's now resting in peace. May the cosmos have mercy on his soul.

I had a house fire and my tuxedo cat is very reserved but still i care about her more than myself, and she was in the most damaged room and almost died! The next morning my sister saved my cats life and she's recovering mentally and i give her loads of hugs.

My kitten was named stormy and died the same way we never knew what was wrong with her but one day she had a seizure and just never woke up it still hurts really bad
I found my cat that I own now, Zozi, in my barn one day. She was malnourished, dirty, pregnant, and as soon as she knew we lived right next to the barn, she did everything to get our attention. She was the sweetest, most neediest cat ever. She'd let you pet on her for hours, and if you'd stop she'd grab your arm with her little paw. We figured that someone threw her out because she was pregnant and didn't want to deal with the kittens, so I did everything to make sure she was ready to have them. She ended up having two beautiful little pure black female cats, just like her. We still have one of those kittens, now known as Sushi, but she's a bigger cat now though still small, just over a year old. The other cat, Maple, is living with my aunt. They're all very happy and spoiled now, especially Zozi. After we took her in and she started cleaning herself, she puffed up. Turns out she was a big old fluffy Persian cat, we just couldn't tell behind the grime.
Oh, and Zozi's chubby now hehe, but we're helping her lose the weight.

I lost my cats a couple years ago. When we put my first cat down, his brother would just cuddle with me and cry. We had to put him down soon after. I have two other cats now, but this still made me break down. Thank you for this wonderful song.
😢 my neighbor and I adopted a little white stray male cat that appeared in our neighborhood about a year and a half ago. Such a sweet little boy, about a year old, I think.
We began feeding him and he stuck around. Right after Christmas 2023, he disappeared. I cried over the possibilities. Then, 2 weeks later, he came waltzing up to my back door, like he always did, a little thinner, but otherwise unharmed. We settled back into our daily routine of him coming to my back slider door every morning @ 6:00 AM for breakfast, then back to his human daddy next door for brunch.
Then on Jan. 24th, our neighbor called us to tell us that he had been attacked and killed by two large stray dogs on his from porch!
I’m so heartbroken, he’s just gone! I can still hear his sweet little chubby white face purring when I would pet him.

In 2018, I found my kitty when he was a scared, feral kitten that was abandoned by his mom. (She was never around for MONTHS. It was so sad)
He would frequently seek shelter by himself under my grandparents house. My grandfather adored him, and fed him every day and sat outside and spoke with him for hours. He introduced me to him. He wouldn't come near either of us, but we were okay with that. We just knew he was safe and fed.
My grandpa began having a hard time going out and talking to him, though he'd always feed him daily. So I'd frequently visit them, and sit outside just as my grandpa did and talk to him. One thanksgiving, I had made him a little plate after searching safe foods for kitties to eat. It was the first time he approached me and let me touch him. December came, and a snow storm was coming- my mental health had rapidly deteriorated at that time but I consistently sat outside with him. Once I found out there was going to be a snowstorm, I couldn't let him be caught in it. We got a trap from the local vet, and got him inside to feed him and keep him warm. He was so scared, and it broke my heart- and I sang "You are my sunshine" to him and he immediately began to calm down and even ate. Something told me he was my kitty soul mate. He became bonded to me, very attached. Every night he lays on me while I sleep, purring. Every morning, he runs up to me- meowing and rubbing against me and standing on his hind legs for me to pet him. When I have panic attacks, he's running to me to give me affection before I even know it's coming.
In a way, we saved each other. I saved him from freezing and starving in a snow storm all alone, and he saved me from myself.
My grandfather died in January this year, and I still am so grateful he took his time to care for Honey. I'm grateful that he introduced me to my baby, and helped me find a reason to live again. When the tuxedo kitty showed at the end where she says "I need you", my sobbing picked up the pace

My cat Whiskers was a tuxedo cat, he helped after I got SA’d and such when I was younger, he also helped me through mental health issues. He was my world and died, He was the only thing that was keeping me going at the time, when he died I’m pretty sure my heart almost stopped, that’s how painful it was. Seeing this made me cry, but happy cry.
I'm deadass crying. I cussed him out daily but I miss him dearly. He's enjoying a whole farm while I'm still dealing with apartment life. 😂 this was precious!

This makes me appreciate my cats so much more. My dog passed away about a month ago, and I’ve been struggling without him. When he passed away, I sat there next to his body, bawling my eyes out knowing my first pet, and one of my best friends, was dead. My one cat, Max, came over and sat a little ways away, staring at his friends lifeless body. Starsky-my dog- and Max, were very close friends. Star was only two years older than him, deceased at the age of eight. Max was very sad that he was gone, and came to me for comfort. When I noticed him sitting there staring at Star, I told him it was ok, and he could come closer. And he did just that. He came over and sat beside me, with so much pain in his eyes. It was truly wonderful... My other cat Sam has been helping me too. Star used to come upstairs with me and sleep in my bed at night. Though he was a massive German Shepherd, I still let him cuddle up beside me. The last two years of Star’s life, he’s gotten arthritis, and wasn’t able to get up on the bed anymore. And within the last month, he couldn’t even go up the stairs. At bed time now, Sam sleeps with me. I’ll tell him it’s time to go to bed, and he’ll run up the stairs, and we for me to finish getting ready, sitting on my bed. I turn the lights off, and he’ll curl up in the curve of my body, giving me comfort still having that soft fur against my skin. I love my cats so much....

I had a one eyed cat too... he died about a month ago sorry for your loss i know It is hard. I am baling my eyes out. Because originally we thought my cat was missing and alive then one day I was looking for my stylist under my bed and felt something furry I pulled it and found my cat. It turns out he was decomposing under my bed for a month. We found his body 5 days ago.
My rottweiler nigel passed away last year. We'd had him for about a year when I got my cat, Autumn. The two of them bonded and became very attached to one another. When Nigel was put down, Autumn kept wandering around the house and letting out these long, heart-breaking meows, like she was searching for Nigel. When I told her that he was dead, she jumped into my arms and pressed her face into me. She was basically attached to me for weeks afterwards, like she was scared that I would leave, just like Nigel.
As I'm typing this, she's curled up among my laundry. She still panics if I leave her sight for more than a few seconds, so she even follows me into the bathroom.
we have to always appreciate both cats and dogs, but know that cats are the most lonely creature

Did NOT expect to genuinely get emotional about this. After living my whole life never having had any pets and really loving cats, I got two kittens. They love to knead me.. (sometimes right on my bladder and i need to pee) I have a pretty tough home life and I'm still trying to deal with the trauma it gave me but both of my kittens are always there to cheer me up and remind me that I am deeply trusted by them and that I trust and love them just as much.

I’m so sorry, my two cats disappeared two years ago, and I miss them so much. But last year I got two new cats and they are doing great, they are our 6 and 7th cats in the last few years, and I miss every cat before them so much. Sadly, only one of them got to stay with us for more than a few years (except the ones we have now)

People with allergies, like me, cant always adopt. Not every shelter has hypoallergenic cats or foster programs to make sure you dont react to the animal. Which is why, if its very important to the person to have one, people with animal allergies have to buy purebred cats.
Another thing you should add to that message as well: when buying, make sure its a reputable breeder.
Our cattery is absolutely amazing. The woman that started it cared so much about her Bengals that I’m certain she didnt sleep when taking care of newborns. She did everything for them, and for me, which is why I appreciate and respect her very much.

My cat simba went missing 4 months ago. He was such a sweet little boy, and I miss him so very very much- he was my little potato. I miss you simba.❤️❤️❤️
A few months ago I moved into a house with a stray cat who wandered the neighborhood. Was only 9 months old at the time, but he was covered in dirt, rail thin, and had blood coming out of his eyes from an infection. Every time I came outside he would follow me around begging for food or roll over in the hopes that I pet him.
Christmas eve I took him in and gave him a bath. My bathroom reeked and the bath was covered in a layer of fine dirt. When we dried him, he was terrified and tried to escape through the windows. He calmed down when we finally brought in a plush bed and a soft blanket for him, and he started kneading. After a lifetime living out in the cold and sleeping under cars he was finally home. Seeing him clean and happy, kneading and content in his bed is by far the best Christmas memory I'll ever have.

Second edit (sad): less than five months into having him, my boy is gone. Button began to show signs of severe neurological problems beyond what could be treated. Most cats want to die alone but Button never wanted to leave my side. I cradled him up until the injections.
Sorry for tacking on this depressing news but I figured this needed to be said. Last year the pandemic had me in isolation for several months, unable to see people or have any connection outside a phone call. I returned to my home state late last year feeling drained and unable to communicate with others. Taking care of him made me realize how important it is to invest in people other than yourself. Two of my family members adopted pets after I did, and I'm continuing to help at a shelter in part because of him. Don't underestimate the effect your kindness can have on yourself and others

does the pain get easier to deal with? Just put down my 18yr old baby today. The guilt it killing me. I kept hoping he would get better he just got progressively worse. I saw this video before he passed and thought it was cute but now it hurts.
@@loveSUFFERlearn Had to put down our first cat at 14 because of kidney failure (I was 17 and basically knew him all my life). He didn't leave our side for those last couple of weeks. After a while, the realization that you're doing the right thing will soothe the guilt. The effects of time and age are not your fault, and those effects cannot be reversed.
