imo iy shouldn't be free bcs many people will take it for granted.Like in my country, if you pay 10% of the standard starting salary you will repay it in 10 years.And the student loam that almost everyone take is convertible based on your cgpa.

Absolutely LOVE his work. His filming techniques, the way he shows the things around him, the way he casually records literally everything that has his interest, is just amazing. Maybe the people who say that he has "no talent" has a point in a more professional way. But to a person who has no clue in filming, his work is just so amazing and so chill. LOVE IT.
i'm at university (UK) studying film and i think the main reason for me not dropping out is as follow:
- free industry standard kit to create short films for a WAAAAAY lower budget than if i were to actually hire kit
- contacts into the industry & lecturers who know certain (not defined) pathways into the industry
- people who think the same as me and can crew for me on films that I direct

As a person that I can relate to through my own personal experience, I had to drop out of College in order to help support not just myself, but for my family as well. Watching this video really made me feel good about the experiences that I have on a day to day basis no matter how good or bad because at the end of the day, your success is dependent on you, just like what you said. I start a great career soon and after hearing your advice, I feel very motivated and eager to start. Even at my age (20) I have a lot to learn, but that doesn't I shouldn't stop learning. I will always continue to better myself and I want everyone to know that as long as you count your blessings, the world isn't so bad after all. Thank you Casey for today. God bless.

To those saying that Casey has "no idea what he's talking about in this field" due to the fact that he didn't go to college. Understand that he never outright said YOU MUST go to college. Rather, he says to aggregate all the knowledge you obtain from all caveats of your life. From your family life to your academic life. Learn from your life, from your failures, your friends' failures, and by using that knowledge is how you formulate your own path to your definition of success. IF you believe your path to success is not university, then there you go, you don't need university. But if you have no path in this life, then keep taking in knowledge from the opportunities you have until you know your path.

I'm graduating from university in about 6 weeks and I think your advice is spot-on. The classes and jobs and experiences which were the hardest and most unpleasant at the time were the ones which helped me the most in figuring out who I am and what I actually want to do. Dunno why so many people are complaining in the comments, I found it very motivating and true to my experience.

I'm 17 years old, I'm a freelance graphic designer and I run a film company. Age is a number that means nothing. I've had the pleasure of working with numerous NBA players such as J.R. Smith and Patty Mills, and I've designed for NFL stars including Richard Sherman. I love sports and I found the next best thing than playing professionally. Working WITH the professionals. I haven't gone to design school, I'm completely self taught. I was just MOTIVATED to SUCCEED. That is the recipe for being great. :)
