Klay coming to the Mavs was the move I wanted to see happen most this free agency. I think Klay will be amazing in Dallas. I am real happy that they got Naji and Quentin too. They are going to help the team a lot.

Have to see how long it takes for him to feel comfortable enough to start folding paper airplanes out of stat sheets during post game interviews. GSW fan, but always a soft spot in my heart for the Mavs, as Jason Kidd is a Bay Area native. Now I have one more reason!

There were some good and comfortable questions asked in this press conference, ton of jokes and laughs. You can see the smiles on their faces and they look happy to be in Dallas.

Don't get me wrong Klay is the star acquisition of the Offseason, and rightfully, so looking at his resume but Naji will be the most pivotal player for this Mavs team. Getting buckets to uplift the bench while also being EXPECTED to match up against giant monsters like Wemby, Zion, Chet, AD, Giannis, Jokic, etc. Tough job really but seeing how he was able to pick Kyrie's pockets in an ISO situation is pretty crazy at how sneaky athletic he really is.
I also have seen the media love OKCs off season because they traded for Caruso. I actually think Grimes can be a Caruso for the Mavs. He has all the talent to be just as good as a defensive player and 3pt shooter.
As a knick fan I can say u guys got a dog in Grimes. If he can get over being gun shy at times and just let his shot go he's gonna be a problem
Your Knicks gave up on him too quick. I was shocked when NYK traded him for some rentals. Not going to lie, was shocked Pistons gave him away for THJ. It makes me wonder if Pistons saw something that the Knicks didn’t like. We’ll see how it goes. I’ve been a Grimes fan as Mavs fans since 2 summers ago when I was watching the Knicks play in summer league and he was out there shooting it like Klay in Vegas. I hope he plays like he did for the Knicks in 2023.
I'm a knick fan as well and from what I saw Grimes just needs to be more aggressive and attack the rim more. His shooting and defense is already solid.

Mavs got some more dawgs. The team has changed from when Nico took over. We're excited to see them all play out. Seen the highlights for both Naji and Quentin. Both overall are upgrades to DJJ and Green respectively. Can't leave them open for 3s. And Klay is going to be Klay. He's still got a lot left in the tank. Shooters age a lot better than athleticism. He's going to be our Ray Allen from Miami. At the end of the day, Klay will have more rings than Steph/Dre.

What I’m excited for Klay, is if you think about those great Warriors teams, they never really had a super athletic Center. They were all passing big man that could defend and Rebound. He’s right, he had good chemistry with Jackson, the young Warriors C, but Gafford and Lively are more talented. So I expect some good passes to our Centers with Klay too. I also expect Grimes to be a little like Caruso, who most of the NBA is excited to see in OKC. He’s a poor man’s Klay as a shooter and can defend.

Klay with his Offball movement can fit good. But I don´t believe it till I see it...there have been great players that don´t fit together with Luka. So let´s wait. Professional sports is more difficult, than us sofa & yt coaches think it is. Klay is 34 and had crazy injuries. Specially on defense in regular season, with 3 starters now playing "soso" defense this will be an issue for sports media to talk as long about Mavs until the pressure is too high.
