I had that same idea to share my fond memories of laughing hysterically at this show with my son, like how I used to with my dad. Unfortunately, now that my son is old enough, he has absolutely no interest in watching the show with me, because, and I'm quoting him here, "the animation is so old and strange looking!"
Freaking kid doesn't want to watch or do anything except if it's on his iPad and made after the year 2015! Anything before that, and he's not interested at all! I swear, trying to get him to watch a movie with me goes over about as well as when I tried to get him to play a board game with me and his mom the day we lost power and his tablet was dead. I think he quit before my wife even got a chance to roll the dice!
@@jamesteegardner2273 Damn I'm sorry to hear it! Realistically this will probably happen to me too but one can dream? Just out of curiosity, how old is he? When I started watching the Simpsons at the age of about 13, I also preferred the newer seasons because it looked cleaner. Needless to say I don't hold that position anymore.
All I can recommend is to still try to find some interest in whatever dumb stuff he's watching and/or limit his ipad time.

@@hahaha574 Nah bro, it's all good. If anything I'm a bit jealous cause that's something that I was hoping to share with my son especially since it was something I used to do with my dad as a child. For whatever reason, my son just isn't interested in TV or movies, especially his dad's "old movies."

It's rare that the main character is the funniest which is what makes Homer so amazing too. All of his classic lines are gold. Love the others, but Homer's my favourite by far.
