SUMMARY
The LG CordZero All in One Auto Empty Vacuum is an easy to use cordless stick vacuum with a variety of features. It includes tons of cleaning accessories and attachments. In addition, the CordZero has wifi connectivity, a compressing dustbin, 2 rechargeable batteries, and washable filters & cyclones. Cleaning performance overall was solid, however, it did struggle with large cereal. If you exclude the cereal tests, the CordZero had excellent scores, removing 98.09% of total debris by weight.
PROS
Auto empty base that can house all the vacuum accessories, charge vacuum, & empty the dust bin
Easy maintenance with washable filters, cyclone, and self-emptying base
Compressible dustbin that allows for greater dust bin capacity & more efficient cleaning
2 batteries that are easily swappable for up to 2 hours of run time
CONS
Short run time in Turbo mode, only 7 minutes
Not great at removing large debris like cereal

Yeah...we're too bad to use manual focus. So we use auto, but it's clearly not great.

Is this a good choice for vinyl plank floors? I’ve been told to avoid beater bars.
If that's what your vinyl floor manufacturer recommends then I would avoid it. If for the only reason that you want to protect your warranty.

@@ned8249 I think it would be perfectly fine. I have never heard of a beater bar damaging any vinyl plank flooring. Generally, vinyl planks are pretty durable.
However, if you're really worried you could just only use the mopping attachment on your vinyl and use the multi-surface head on the carpets.
How well do you think it would do on a mix high/low pile rug? I have a big mat by the back door that has two big dog paw prints in it. The paw prints are a lower pile then the rug and I had a vacuum that couldn’t get low in to pick up the dog hair. It’s called PUR rugs dirt trapper door mat. Any honest opinion here? Wondering your thoughts between the brush style on the LG cord zero and also the brush style on the Samsung bespoke that has two roller brushes parentheses should I be worried about Samsung‘s front soft roller?)?
I think it'd be perfectly fine on a mixed pile rug. Worse case scenario, you'd pop in the straight suction brush for that rug...but I really doubt you'd need to do that.
I expect performance would be similar between LG and the Bespoke brushroll.

So the Roomba S9 plus cleans as well if not better and you don't have to touch it?
Yep. S9+ is as good as the most high-end upright and stick vacuums.
I got a 800 dollar eco vac self clean and empty and they never can vaccume LIGHT thin dog hair into its trash bag. That and the s9 did the same thing. Useless for me

For other LG CordZero variants, yes.
The self clean kinda renders the Kompressor feature, which I think you pay a premium for, moot?
Yeah, a little bit for sure. Unless you just have tons of pet hair / fur. That can get really voluminous in a dust bin.
@@ModernCastle I have the Samsung Jet/Clean Station. Not as elegant but certainly not as expensive. I can also share the Clean Station with another Jet stick in the house. Just have to get the proper bin.

How does the vacuum stay on? I have an issue with my hands/joints and holding the button down on my dyson stick fatigues my hands and causes pain rather quickly. Would love a continuous on button or switch on this lg model
It's just an on / off button, no trigger or other buttons that need to be held down.
Which do you think is the better vacuum - the LG CordZero A9 (auto empty - non mop version) or the Shark Detect Pro? (On both carpet and hybrid flooring)

Do you like this or the Samsung self-emptying better?
The self empty functionality seemed to be about the same on both. However, I do think the Samsung has a cleaner aesthetic...but most importantly, the Samsung vacuum had much better complete machine sealing compared to the LG CordZero (a relatively new test we started running).
Does anyone know if you can manually empty this or if it only emptys with the self-empty?

Can I use it on cat vomit or dog urine on carpet? Are there any cleaning chemicals that can be used with it like Nature's Miracle enzymatic cleaner?
You should not use it on those.
Vacuum is not compatible with additional cleaners. It's a vacuum cleaner, nothing more.

Do the older cord zero vacuums work with the tower?
They do not.
I believe the Kompressor type Cordzero should work with the tower, LG released a video about it and in Korea you can even buy just the tower (they sell two types) by itself.
One issue I always have is i have dogs and i vacuum multiple times a day and empty and after a few weeks all my units stink like dogs. Ugh
I'm afraid there is not much to do about that :(
Can someone tell me why this vacuum has "WI-FI" written on the - button near the power button ?
There is a companion app. It tells you stuff like battery left, filter life, etc.

So what was the answer to your question in the title "Is a $999 Vacuum Worth It?"? And please don't say "It's up to you".
Only if the auto empty base is important to you.
I think it's a pretty cool feature, but for me personally, I don't think it's worth $999. You end up paying an extra $300-$400 more than you would for other similar high end vacuums.
If you have allergies or your just hate emptying the dust bin, then yes, it's worth it...because it's basically the only option and it's bleeding edge tech.
If not, then probably not worth.
Maybe one of the other heads would have picked up the cereal you used.
It's possible, but in general, we always try to use the full sized cleaning head for our standard 12 part cleaning test.
The dyson don’t pick up cereal either
Most Dyson vacuums handle cereal without issue.

Is the Auto Empty Bin important to you? If so, then it is, as it's a bleeding edge feature not found many other places.
If it isn't, then just as a vacuum cleaner, it's not worth the price.
