My wife and I are coming up on 6 months sober together. Having a partner makes it much easier as we have someone to make the journey with and hold each other accountable. Our relationship has become stronger, we’ve lost 80 lbs between the two of us, I’ve come off of thyroid and anxiety medication. Our family and son, most importantly, have seen the positive changes. We’re saving $100’s per month and have money for other things we want and want to do. We’re sleeping better, moods are better, feel better. There are no negatives of quitting; only positives.
I love alcohol, but once i pick up i can't put it down. I stopped drinking for a year, once i picked it up i destroyed everything i had. almost 10 months sober, this time in recovery.
Fuc$ the mistake, just start over. All your efforts do not add up to one lack of impulse. Keep going. There are a million others, just like you, cheering you over the finish line. Chin up, bro!
@communityprepper6153 i appreciate you bro, thank you 💪
Just remember life isn't boring or useless without it you got this just cause everyone else at the pub is fucked up doesn't mean you can't be there sober sobriety isn't boring or miserable
@@louiscampagna9503 agreed my brother 🙏
25 years ago I had quit drinking for ten months got in shape and felt great. I went out with new friends and had a light beer and got back in the habit again. I have been sober for two months now. I know that I can never drink again and don’t want to because I’m enjoying life again. You can stop again.
It's just so everywhere. Every sporting event, above the scoreboards. Every game, every event. Somebody dies, we drink, somebody's born, we drink. We're happy we drink. We're sad we drink. We're hungry, we drink. After we eat we drink. It's just too much. Give it up
I’m two months sober and feel so much better than I have in the past fifteen years. This video is very informative and motivational, thanks.
Day 15 off the booze for me. Thanks for this video, I needed this kick up the ass to keep moving forward one day at a time. Alcohol has robbed me of so much time.
Keep going it gets easier ...good luck
Hope its still going well
Your aware of it at least. That's the hardest part of the battle. Now your in the fight. Your on your journey now. Fighting the good Fight is tough but o worth it. Keep battling
"Today is the tomorrow you were so worried about yesterday." - Hannibal Lecter

I love that quote, too. I also love Hannibal. He borrowed the quote from Dale Carnegie.

That is a great quote, and so true.
131 days sober have some off days recently, but keep getting through, feel a lot better, clear minded, keep going peeps
You got this! Congrats Chris!
Day 1 wish me luck please. I WIILL do it this time
6 1/2 years without drinking, 48 years old
I've never been happier and so full of peace.
Im one month and a week sober today from alcohol and smoking and i already feel wonderful from drinking almost everyday and hard on week ends liquor and beer mix. But all credit is to my God. We all mater and we all have a purpose if we seek him. Good luck everyone. It is possible
I quit drinking over 4 years ago and i would not change that for anything.. i also quit smoking over 7 years ago.. Life is a Blessing and you need to show appreciation to life and the universe will help you manifest your full potential 💯💯💚💚
Congrats!
Smoking is the worse if you ask me beer over smoking any day.
Not a slight on Women...but "For men only"....because men drinking destroys so many marriages, scars so many children...thank you for this video
Trust me I'm 5 days into detoxing from heavy drinking and it's brutal, get help if you drank heavy it can be dangerous to quit cold turkey. I finally feel better, much better than when I was a drunk. It's worth it to stop but better to not start in the first place.
I lost 14 years to heavily drinking every day. I'm 5 months sobber. I avoided drinking in the Army until I left 22 years later, it's a massive drinking culture there.
I've struggled with it for decades.. had quit for a number of yrs and my ex-wife got me to try wine which led me back again to hard alcohol. I still drink but I pray daily to quit. Could really use your prayers . Please help. I'm so tired of alcohol but the taste, I can taste it just looking at it
Excellent! To those who are struggling, don't give up. Life is worth living. Get the help you need.
Definitely can’t sleep. Fuckin sucks! But I have to quit. I’m tired of missing out on life. Tired of lying and hiding my drinks. Also scared of getting liver cirrhosis. Half my cousins have all died of cirrhosis. One day at a time. Day 1 right now and still up at 1am can’t sleep. But i can do it
Good luck❤
I thought quitting smoking was hard. I am not a violent or abusive drunk, but I am a drunk. It is not easy.
Thank you Emma Kinsley ❤❤❤ this message was everything I needed. God Bless you Lady
Thank you so much for watching!
Never say "hang in there" when talking this deep.
Not easy living in a cold climate and not to drink. Spend a lot of times indoors, not a lot of sunlight, heavy workload.. Jordan peterson covered this as he lives in Canada.
I love your videos keep them going your helping loads of people
Thank you so much Michael
Men need and have our own inspirations.
hell yeah!
SALUTE 🫡 👍🏾 .... 7 YEARS SOBER NOW MYSELF ... TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY 💯 👍🏾🫡
Just what I needed ❤
Great!
3 years sober. I hate it. Lose your friends, nothing is fun anymore, now i am just addicted to work. I won't drink because of the kids.
Ohhh if thats the case you're doing it completley wrong!
I'm sober, am on naltrexone and missing it. I wont go back to drinking ever again, but I miss it a lot.
Agree. I miss it.
@@SirLangsalotI was on naltrexone daily and missed alcohol, but used the "Sinclair method" with naltrexone and now don't miss alcohol one bit. Def recommend looking up Sinclair method if you've already got a prescription for naltrexone
Do you practice gratitude? Your waking up feeling good. Being present with your family. Start a new hobby. Once you start working on yourself and filling your cup with good things you'll feel better. Make new friends. Think about every time you don't spend the money, you put it into a holiday account. Treat yourself to a break away and that's your goals.
Very well presented. Added with some shocking reality. Thank you.😊
Glad you liked it!
I've been clean over 14 years. No drugs or booze. If your sobriety is not the most important thing in your life, you wi
Such a deep, introspective, informative compilation video.i thank you for making it and sharing it with the world. Be Elite Today People!
I agree to a point. I’ve never drank alone, never craved alcohol. I quit purely to eliminate hangovers. I don’t think alcohol should be vilified. I’m loving not being hungover, no anxiety, saving money, healthy relationship. Still I miss social drinking.
You just have think, "I am not drinking today". It has made it so much easier for me, I call it my superpower, it becomes empowering. The facts of this drug are just staggering.
This is a really good one
Thank you so much
I just can't get behind alcohol.
Wise words, brave words.
Good job.
cool compilation!
Thank you so much!
Thanks Emma l.
Michael Caine, Nick Lowe, Robert Altman, Keith Richards, & a number of geezers I've known personally, overdid it in rather epic fashion with hard liquor & sometimes other non-liquid stuff. They had way too much fun, stopped gulping the hard booze, spent a period of time not drinking at all, then returned to normal drinking, enjoying wine or beer, & carried on being quite balanced, successful people. They didn't need a "program" & they take a fundamentalist approach, unlike all the AA people I've known, who are rather ridiculous in their group-think, fear-based, secular religion fundamentalist dogma. Too many people confuse basic behavior modification with grand opera!
What if the drinker is not getting blasted but is drinking enough to annoy and concern those around him/her.. They think that they don’t have a problem because they think of those drunks falling over as having a problem.. they’re “just fine” with a couple drinks every evening and when not drinking counting the days down until the next drink..
Thanks, this was v interesting. Wow blown away by the wisdom of Anthony Hopkins - fantastic actor and human being.
Yes, I love how these celebs can inspire us in so many healthy ways!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Except Anthony saying "keep fighting" is totally wrong when it comes to getting sober. "Fighting" is what keeps people in the vicious cycle of stopping and starting again. The basis for recovery is "Surrender"!
I'm so hapoy I never liked alcohol. Weed though. I'm 1.5 weeks sober from herb. Gotta stop.
❤❤❤
Thanks for watching Alyanna!
When i used to drink i could only sleep for 4 hours and then wake even if i dont want to .
Nothing wrong with it being men only. Its a good video and good video title. The complaining feminists have more than enough
Great video but it’s not only for men !!
it is only for men hehehe
Why cant men have their own inspiration? Make a own for women
I don't sleep when i drink.. i have to smoke alot of weed to sleep.
❤️🙏✨️😊
Gods Grace and Mercy
Great video. Could you make a version without the music???
yes of course!
Keep the music
Great advice apart from the ginger singer.
Take out the MEN only part. Almost skipped over for that but I love compilations like this. I don’t care if it’s all dudes - it’s helpful to ANY person no matter the gender.
Thanks for your feedback Mobsy!
No don't take the men only part out.
Create a woman's one.
We men are allowed our own inspiration.
Thank you for recognising that.
toxic female strikes again
Toxic female
I completely agree that this is good advice, educational, and inspirational for anyone to watch. Maybe take out “men only” and replace it with “especially for men” or “inspired by men”?
Why for men only?
You should take (For men only) out of the title. This is for anyone who drinks.
Thanks for your feedback!
"How about no." - Dr Evil
I spent 500 easy on booze , if no t more each Week
Some of the people here have sadly passed on which makes their stories all that more poignant.
I’m not buying that Harry Potter had a drinking problem.
I think this is a big misconception, you dontneed to have a drinking problem for alcohol to be a problem in your life.
As much as I like Anthony Hopkins, he is totally wrong about "keep fighting". "Fighting", "struggling", "battling", "gritting your teeth", and having a "death grip on the steering wheel", are ALL major roadblocks to sobriety!
The majority of videos on YT about "not drinking" are completely focused on the wrong perspective. The goal is "SOBRIETY", not "not drinking", or trying to "quit drinking", or cutting back on "drinking". That is all garbage that needs to be incinerated.
Alcohol is NOT the root problem, so stop focusing on it, and START focusing on "living differently"! Sobriety is not an intellectual proposition like a math equation. The solution is literally about how we move our feet. Some of the smartest people in the world have died drunk, because they believed they could "think" their way out of a fatal condition. It's total bullshyt! "Get busy LIVIN, or get busy DYIN". Those are your only options!
Why MEN only? 😂😂
Agreed! I really enjoyed this, and the title of off-putting. Excellent video compilation 🙏
Hello, I wanted to make a complimation of only male celebs with messages that I think predominatly relate to men, the jocko's etc. I wonder if it didnt say (For MEN Only) would the title be as intriguing for you?
Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the comilation, I'll be putting more of these together for the future.
@@emma.l.kinsey I think whomever is at the point of watching videos about alcoholism/addiction, isn't really judging themselves on being a Jocko/male/whatever society says. We are here because we're stripping it down. Be better. ❤️
@@desertshooter007 I didn't say I was disappointed. I loved this compilation.
I've been sober for three days. It might seem ridiculous but i'm realising that alcohol is the reason why i've been doing cocaine. I haven't done any for the last 4 days, and i feel better than ever. I've always known that alcohol and drugs was the wall between me and total succes and hapiness. I've done more thing for my work and for myself in three days than for the last month. I'm going for the sober life. I'm going straight to hapiness and success. FROM HOPELESS TO GREATNESS.
Today is 5 days for me and I feel excited about it. It will get hard but I am excited!!
Seriously I had a drink problem due to traumas and issues I didn’t realise were driving me to escape. QUIT NOW three years dry 🫶🏻
Congrats on your 3 days AF!!!!
Why for men only?
