I have a curious query about Ahyeonʼs nickname:
What does each part of her nickname mean, i.e. 'Aram' and 'G' = AramG? And might I ask in conjunction, why is it her preferred nickname? 😊
(Non-Korean speaker here, pardon for my ignorance on this matter. ✌🏼😅 )
Ahyeon wants to have a nickname related to chipmunk. That's why members came up with this name "Aram G" . Chipmunk in korean is (dalamjwi), but if you listen to it's pronunciation, it pronounce as (DalamG) . Korean does not have (r)and(l) sounds. They have another sound, ㄹ, which seems to fall somewhere between R and L. That's how Aram G came into existence - "A" from Ahyeon and "RamG" from chipmunk=AramG. Hope this answered your query ☺
