    Very interesting video. I do 16:8 intermittent fasting, lots of proteins and high dose of vitamin D3. Significant weight loss, no more cravings, and excellent blood results... I was insulinresistant on last year! I changed my lifestyle by focusing on quality over quantity 🥰🥰

      Curious about the D . Is this cholecalciferol the same thing we kill rats with?

      @@lorelwebber6435 Probably, but as my toxicology professor told us on Day One, "'dosis sola facit venenum' ... 'only the dose makes the poison'". Just because a chemical is present, does not mean that it is harmful in the amount present.

    Hi, most of these recommendations are for "regular" individuals so some of these items like avocados, etc are too high in potassium, wish you would make a vid for CKD4-5 patients. Thanks!

      Hi, you can download my Ultimate Food Guide. It explains which foods are healthy and not related to how they impact blood sugar and insulin. I think you’d find it helpful. Quandary: learned that I have diabetes 2 which according to the medical staff is well managed (under 7.0 and no insulin injections). Simultaneous to that news I was informed that I have CKD stage 3A. Told not be too concern because I am in my 70s. Like to make it to my 80s plus.
    What is my quandary? Insulin resistance plans less carbs more protein in cluding the animal protein you recommended. CKD recommendations, reduce protein especially animal sourced. So another version of which came first the chicken or the egg, which disease do I focus on rectifying first?

      Great question. Here's a great article that states: “Regardless of kidney dysfunction, the epidemiological evidence supports the recommendation that protein intake should not be lower than 0.8 grams per day per kilogram (of ideal weight). Unless new research data solve the doubts about the safety of low protein diets, physicians and patients should be aware that long-term intake of protein below that threshold could imply severe unfavorable effects for health.” Bilancio G, Cavallo P, Ciacci C, Cirillo M. Dietary protein, kidney function and mortality: review of the evidence from epidemiological studies. Nutrients. 2019;11(1):196.

      I feel like the term "well-managed" for diabetes is relative. You can certainly improve your A1c and reduce/eliminate the need for oral medications. An optimal A1c is 5.5 or less. This will help reduce further diabetic complications. The chronic kidney disease and diabetes have the same underlying cause of insulin resistance. The meal recommendations would be the same. Because of your age I'd suggest closer to 40 grams of protein per meal to combat anabolic resistance. If you haven't yet, I suggest you download our Ultimate Food Guide for more food ideas at www.zivli.com/ultimatefoodguide.

    • @drmorgannolte
      @drmorgannolte  Před rokem +1

      Short answer - don't focus on the disease (diabetes vs kidney disease) - focus on the underlying cause of both which is insulin resistance. Long answer...see below :).
