- Eating Breakfast at one of the historical Ryokan (Traditional Japanese Inn), so many different kinds of healthy dishes. It was only 12,000 JPY ($114.29) per night also received 5,000 JPY coupon (only limited places you can use). I also visited Kobe zoo where we can see Panda! (there are only 3 places where you can see panda in Japan), hope you enjoy traveling Kobe with me though this video!

When I was in high school 1973 , I had a pen pal from Kobe. In 1974, I was hoping to meet him, I was in Tokyo and Ichiro (my pen pal) told my mother that the trains are not running because of strike.. I had a chance to speak to him.

Loved the video rion! Japanese breakfast is so good! Very healthy. The hotel you stayed in reminds of the one I stayed in on my last trip, spacious room, tatami mats, door needed a physical key. All those little details made it amazing. Wow the Zoo there is super cheap to go to! Here in US it would cost atleast $50 with 1 kid and thats just to get in and have 1 small snack.

Zoo animals were so cute! My favorite was the horse and panda.
I want to stay at this hotel when I'll visit Kobe sometime soon when things get a little more stable, thanks for sharing. And I love that traditional Japanese style room (和室) where Rion slept, the room with Tatami (畳), Fusuma (ふすま), Shoji (障子) settings. looks so lovely, cozy and relaxing..Now in Japan, there's some trend that some people try to reform one of western rooms in a house to Japanese style room (going against the stream / retrogress), some seeking mental relaxation or as a hobby room for Bonsai etc.. , I may want to try that too in future..

Peter and Ume are cute but we have some that are cuter here where I live in South Australia,... you see them roaming around the streets in the hills when in Adelaide. 6 bucks for zoo admission is so cheap compared to where i'm from. My country charges like $30 bucks per person...and you don't even get to see the panda.

Hi Rion, a happy new year to you. Yes, it's true. If you take the wrong exit, you'd end up opposite to where you wanted to go to. It happened to me when I took a day trip to Kobe in 2019. When I arrived I asked the man inside the booth which exit I should take to go to their famous restaurants that serves Kobe beef. The man didn't know which was unfortunate. I think I even showed him the name of the 3 restaurants in the same vicinity. Anyway, I just took an exit, and lo and behold, I ended up walking for 2 hours going to the opposite direction. I even went inside a convenient store to ask for direction, still was given the opposite direction. Finally, after 2 inquiries, got the answer, and had to walk back all the way where I started. I should have taken the left exit and this would have lead me the way to the restaurants that serves Kobe beef. I had a good time there, eating the Kobe beef, although they don't give you enough portion in a teppanyaki style. It's quite expensive but worth it just to experience the taste of a Kobe beef. By the way, I wasn't carrying a cell phone, didn't have one. So I bought one when I was planning for my return trip to Japan last year in the Spring and what happens? Covid-19!!!

What an amazing breaktfast! We're really jealous - our only breakfasts in Japan were from 7Eleven :D What a nice trip. We saw Pandas in Singapore and loved them as well. Have you ever seen the smaller red Pandas? They're just as cute! Another nice video. I’ve only been to an Onsen overnight stay once, I have to try going to Kobe next time I am in Japan both to enjoy the Onsen and try Kobe beef in Kobe (I have tried it before at a good hotel in Bangkok). Please change your background music it’s time already

The zoo was nice. I saw pandas in Washington DC many years ago. Capybara onsen was cute.

I'd like to go to Kobe.... do the tower!.... But... Peter and Ume are not bears! OK? They're Koala's which aren't bears 😊 They are marsupials and have a little pouch like a kangaroo for the tiny baby 🐨🤗.... Not sure I'd ever get used to enjoying a japanese breakfast, but I'd like to try... same as sleeping on a futon on the floor.... my back aches thinking about it 😖
