When you think about it, Sprout and Misty complete the group and balance it out, with them the group has two unicorns, two pegasus, two earth ponies and an alicorn to represent the three species, without both it's unbalanced.

@@snow_wolf9988 Starlight arrived in the group and after Twilight became an alicorn her presence made everything be balanced along with Rarity who was a unicorn like her.
Sprout really is an interesting character, his chaotic charisma was only thing that was keeping the mlp5 interesting, since he was the odd one out. it feels very boring without him.
the idea that he can't controll his power because equestrian magic works off of emotions and he's been repressed and angry for so long that he cannot control it
And the notion that her patience and love are what gives him the ability to open up and use his magic

Seriously, if Sprout doesn't get his redemption on this show and we don't see his brotherly relationship with Hitch and maybe even an interesting relationship with Misty, I'm going to be very angry at Hasbro. Sprout is like Starlight but better because her motivation was idiotic (I lost a friend because he impressed people and left even though I could call or find new friends) his motivation is understandable (I just want save my people from the threat, that my toxic mother made up). nice animation👍
If Sprout is going to have more relevance I can see him being someone powerful, I mean, it's strange that on the first try he managed to create a plant so big but so different and more stable than the others, one of the berries fell but that had nothing to do with his magic, so imagine what he could do if he practiced more!

I honestly think that what makes this ship likable and interesting is the fact that Izzy is so carefree and loving and would make it hilariously, and adorably, ironic that Sprout ends up falling in love with a unicorn who he once thought was evil.
