Following the demise of Shannon Fields' Stars Like Fleas project, he retreated to upstate New York to help his wife train horses and explore some musical tendencies he had usually avoided. The resulting collaboration with artists like Trevor Dunn and WHS-alum Sharon Van Etten featured heavy synth, rototoms, slap bass, voice modulation, and other elements all swirled together into a surprisingly compelling, complex sound that sounds like the future of yesterday today.
