Much later, some of the Soviet grandmasters admitted that they made strategic draws in the world championship games.
It happens even today
How do you guys only have 15k subscribers?? Jesus. Fucking great channel. All of it. Thanks!
Oh, I guess you’re kinda new. But still
Fantastic content, what a treat to be recommended.
I'm all caught up.......waiting for more. Amazing content.
"In 1972, for all intensive purposes...."
Sigh...
For all excruciating intentions

Let it go
Outstanding video, great editing, very slick. Well done, folks!
LEGEND
Fide is an acronym: Fee day. That guy saying F I D E all the time drove me mad. Still enjoyed it.
What a documentary 💖👌🏻 RIP Bobby 💚 My favourite chess and ethical human being 🙏🏻
VERY Good. One of the most iconic civilians of the 20th century for sure.
Hell yeah, new video is out. Also 40 minutes, I’m stoked. My first video from you guys was the Norm McDonald biopic in Styrofoam Bonfire. I’m a giant fan of Norm McDonald so I jumped right on it, absolutely loved it. I checked so frequently for new videos, man what a long wait that was. But when that Conan video came out man so very worth it. Long story short I really love the videos and everything you do. Even the buffalo one people seemed to dislike on release. You guys have a vibe a lot like Jon Bois and I’m here for every one of your upcoming release
Hell yeah brother 🤝 appreciate the support! We’ll get to Norm on this channel someday
This video shows the chess greatness of Fischer n what separates him from Csrlsen, who is definitely talented, but no prodigy. A prodigy is more than just winning games as a youth against stronger older players.
Fischer was also profoundly mentally ill, from a very young age. It's been said that chess saved Fischer from being institutionalized or having full blown psychosis publicly. His ability to focus on chess, under his perfect conditions, was a gift but also a symptom of his illness.
You guys clearly aren't fans of the late late show with Craig Ferguson because he had a bit pronouncing reykjavik on there, pretty much the only reason I know how to lol
"... I always wanted to write some songs I was telling Evans Larry Evans this back in the 60s I remember I said you know I listen to all these songs and I wish I could write that but I I try to write something. I try to think of something and like I guess nothing comes out. ... and he said: yeah because you haven't lived and I started thinking about it he's right this is true"
It's "for all INTENTS AND PURPOSES" not "intensive purposes" ...it's ok, I used to use it incorrectly too 😂
Enjoyed your video but the game of the century was against Donald Byrne, Robert's younger brother.
I kinda like your vids but this is the second one after you wasted my time with the 120mph pitcher (which was a funny april fools, you got me" but you have said in both
FOR ALL INTENSIVE PURPOSES
He looks just like Bryan kohburger
10:10 This story with Taimanov seems made up.
Hero?

Bobby Fischer is the goat.
Bobby Fischer can get it 🥵
In the middle of watching, but I have to ask how can someone be so knowledgeable about Fischer and not know how to pronounce Reykjavík?
Or not know that the acronym for the International Chess Federation, officially the Fédération Internationale des Échecs, FIDE, is typically pronounced "fee-day" and not spelled out.
This is an amazingly made video!!! Please ignore the nitpicky comments!!

Bobby Fischer did not collapse...American politics did. He became Icelandic citizen... a very welcome and loved one. The genius died in Iceland at 64 (what else?)😥
His personality wasn't welcome and loved there. In fact, people in Iceland went from being extremely excited to have him, to generally avoiding him.
@@coffeetalk924 Bullshit! I live in Reykjavik. Met him many times. Don´t remember you there....
@@magnussigurdsson9045Have you seen the documentary "Me and Bobby Fischer" from 2010?
@@magnussigurdsson9045And the men in that documentary are from Iceland too. They spent more time with him and they don't share your opinion. Get over it 😉
Yeah, no he went on a downwards spiral mentally
Amazing video, and i'm sorry but **intents and purposes, not intensive purposes :)
This is why chess isn't the greatest game ever. I'd take a game like backgammon that actually has an element of chance in it. Chess is pure strategy and literally nothing else. The greatest minds in combat study logistics, not tactics or strategy. Why? Because logistics are the human element. Chess has none of that.
Nice work guys. I imagine you are feeling a little like Bobby, “How can we top this?” To that i say, “Your mother was right”. Anxious for the next one. Get crackin!

Fisher was right in every aspect. A true genius, both on and off the board.
Who can truly answer that question unless they have lived that era!
I wonder what Bobby would say today about the conflict in the middle east. Cause Trump is over there being a complete grovelling embarrassment
Another folk for the folks.
Reykjavík 😂
Fischer, a hero?
Gimme a break
You still haven't hired a professional to write your scripts, which is why ”intensive purposes”, “foreign languages”, and your insipid Blue Man Group joke, among several other childish and embarrassing puns and mistakes (Reykjavík), seem like good editorials to you people.
I'd like to see a re-upload without the rap music constantly in the background. It's distracting and make this a difficult watch in what would otherwise be great.
Thanks for the heads up.
This in spades.
I like it
Ok Karen
Pretty sure Mr. Fischer would agree with you, which makes the musical cues absolutely perfect.
