55 Folks! w/ Sam and Brian. We’re just here to tell stories about an assortment of folks who catch our attention. But not just any number of folks. Specifically, 55 folks. (Many are saying 55 is far too many folks for us to possibly cover, but we will prove them all wrong.)

Can't believe this! We received some disheartening hate mail so we decided to turn the tables and transform their hate into our channel trailer. We're only a few folks in, but thanks to everyone who has watched our channel thus far (especially if you didn't send us hate mail after watching).

This is a short documentary I spent the past few months piecing together about the legendary Mike Leach. "Mike Leach Isn't Dead" Thank you to all the external source footage that made creating this possible, there's a lot of good interviews on CZcams to check out. Mike Leach was our episode 1 on this channel, we tell some more stories about him in that video: czcams.com/video/jUXX_nOMtzI/video....
How Creed Bratton Hijacked 'The Office'
zhlédnutí 5KPřed 4 měsíci
Creed Bratton played a character by the same name on The Office TV Show ... but the spooky thing is: "Creed Bratton" should have never existed. Thanks to John Tyler Allen (no affiliation with this video) - he talked with Creed extensively for an article published in Esquire in 2022 and this was the most helpful of any sources when making this video. www.esquire.com/entertainment/music/a39662813...
Tom Petty Was a Problem

The "Forrest Gump" of the Wild West
zhlédnutí 7KPřed 6 měsíci
This is a history documentary about a man from the early years of America. It's not really much of a documentary, more of a casual recount of a few stories pertaining to this mountain man that seemed to pop up all over the place during his lifetime. Tales straight from a world long gone. A story of survival and revenge. A man who led an unimaginable life relative to our comforts of today.
The Greatest Mike Leach Story of All Time
zhlédnutí 26KPřed 6 měsíci
This is our first video - on a guy who was as entertaining as he was genuine… and all that aside was just a legendary football coach for his offensive innovations and resurrection of multiple mediocre programs. A warm and sincere welcome to our brand new channel. There is no one here yet but that's ok. Hopefully by folk 55 there will be a few viewers. Enjoy and we’d extend an invitation to join...
Always Loved him ❣️❣️❣️
This is a cool format. I'm not even that into Tom Petty but I watched it to watch the painting and hear the casual observations of his career timeline. I had a couple of his albums in high school but never learned about him as an artist. Thanks for putting this together.
I keep hearing this Maxwell House story but never get the name of the coffee maker or the amounts. I wanna KNOW!
Musicians often feel compelled to keep progressing in their musical vocation/journey. Imagine having to play the same hit songs 1500 times each over the years! You can’t blame them for wanting something different and for wanting to play with different people from those band mates they’re pretty much married to for years.
They lived with Kenny Rodger’s for a short time when Mudcrutch first came to LA. He said they were a lot of fun.
Hmm.. I quite liked both Mojo and Hypnotic Eye. Tom sounded super old on Mojo, which helped make it a brilliant blues album, and he sounded 21 again on Hypnotic Eye. Try listening to them back to back, it's wild.
Runnin' Down A Dream sounded like Juice Newton's Queen of Hearts.
As a British person I feel I should have known about this truly incredible story. Yet I didn’t. Makes me feel a little embarrassed if I’m honest. I’ve heard the name Shackleton but never knew about this story. And I really enjoyed the conversation between you two guys and the painting is so so good. I’ve subscribed and look forward to checking out past and future videos.
Brilliant 😂😂
What’s going to happen when you guys hit 55? And why 55 specifically? I am just curious and would love to know!
There was a movie starring Brendan Fraser called The Scout. It's not the exact same story, but this could definitely have inspired the story.
Always wanted to see him live, Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker's are part of the sound track of my life 👊
Cool way to introduce this story.
Where was the part about him being a problem?
Tom is a genius songwriter and a damn good guitarist and vocalist
Drag on the story for no reason
Damn The Torpedos: "...couple good songs on that album..." wow. lol uh, I'd say there's definitely a "couple of good songs" on that record lol. "Every single album has at least one or two good ones". Jeez, dude, you have some pretty high standards. Just on this record alone: "Refugee", "Don't Do Me Like That", "Even The Losers", "Century City", "Louisiana Rain"...
I loved him as Lucky on King of the Hill.
One of the best memories of my youth, riding shotgun with my rebel auntie on the way back from a family reunion, and she rocked Full Moon Fever in the tape deck.
Tom Petty's second album "You're Gonna Get It" was originally released on ABC Records and then MCA bought Petty's contract when ABC Records disbanded. Shelter Records was formed by Petty over the problems he was having with MCA. And his las two albums are highly underrated.
8:09 The fact that the world population has doubled since 1980 (growing from 4 to 8 billion in 2022) and that the rate at which people die has only increased by a fraction of itself should be proof enough that the world continues to become a safer place. There was also a global pandemic. Great video though guys!!!
I enjoyed the commentary. But I love the painting. That's a wonderful portrait of him. I'd love to have that in our music room....yes, instead of a family room we have a music room . There's no TV. Just concert posters, music themed art, meet & greet memorabilia, vintage speakers/stereo equipment, & hundreds upon hundreds of albums ❤.
excellent
"550K views 3 months ago" -- ah, the days when CZcams used to show the exact upload date.....
Tom Petty the fighter, Tom Petty never kissing ass, Tom Petty for the under-dog. Even the 'losers' get lucky sometimes.
Tom,is an amazing guy! As a singer/songwriter ...he understood the formula and he did it very well.A story teller, in a "tragic response" soapbox kinda way.Anyone can relate to this guys way of doing things.Tom,will remain an American icon through it all.may he rest easy ...til then....
FN stolen attention… unworthy.
engagment
This man is so interesting. This story reminds me of the Canadian golfer Moe Norman, who is considered to be one of the best ball strikers of all time. His story is equally amazing. Thank you for your channel! I just subbed 😁
I like Tom Petty a very, very much lot. He is/was a genius songwriter and musician. But ... as with lots of geniusses he was that in one field. All in all he was simply not the brightest. So I find this king of videos like that one hear more than questionable. For example laughing the Backstreet Boys away in a derogatory way is arrogant and shows a very narrow and limited mind. Not the brightest, as I said.
Sherman in 1860 wrote a prophecy to his neighbors in Louisiana about their desire for Southern Succession: Has any soothsayer ever been more accurate about foolhardy ventures? About the course of future events? Sherman nailed it. The South was destroyed. Sherman had a major hand in it.
Your mom sounds astute. She single?
I am 50, Petty's music was and still to this day a force that will shutter your soul. Simple riffs, simple lyrics but pure power....
There was just under 5 billion people on the planet. In 2023, there were 8 billion people. Considering the deaths only went up 12 million, a way less proportion of people are dying.
SKEETERS BISCUTS AND GRAVY! EITHER YOU GET IT OR YOU DONT!
INCREDIBLE JOB, boys!!
first videos of urs ive wtached, thank god intro guy was not u
Are they telling this for the truth? It's a fictional story written my Plimpton. People will believe anything. And they will post anything online for truth if it gets clicks.
All intensive purposes 😂
kinda like what Sports Illustrated did with the swimsuit issue
In 1985 there were only 4.85 billion people on the planet in 2024 there's 8.01 billion ! More people more deaths !
Very interesting story. !!!!
Oh for crying out loud! I just want to see the guy pitch…not a drawn out blah, blah, blah.
How the hell does he not know about the traveling wulberry's?!?!! What rock did he just crawl out from under??
Mulberry's? LOL. Sounds like you don't know much either.
Absolutely loved this documentary, thank you so very much for making this. God bless
They had film cameras not video cameras 🥴
I wonder if Sid knew that many Buddhist monks are pedos. Might have stuck with baseball.
Hey looks it's Shane and Theo!
Sherman wanted to win the war not fight it Accomplished 🤘🏼
Disregard the constitution lol, the confederacy rebelled and threw away the membership lol
