Every popular TV show has to have a Halloween/ghost story episode… and this is Knight Riders!
It was just a very fun show & we were just kids who were fortunate to have been at the right age to enjoy it & not criticize it. Fun times back then.
Wish I could have been there, I'm from a much younger generation but I'm in love with this show!

I doubt it, as most of the damage is done to the bad guys, the bad guys would be the one who would end up paying for damages to innocent people.

I'd have been all "Good luck, Michael. Hope you find something useful. I'm just gonna hang here with K.I.T.T. in case he gets lonely or bored and wants to chat."
Any other episode, KITT can pick up a vehicle that's half way across town, but when this one turns at an intersection from a half-block away, KITT is like "The vehicle is out of scanner range."
This was a fun episode. Great to play every Halloween.

I was born in early-January of 1989 & didn't watch 'Knight Rider' until sometime in the mid-1990's when re-runs would be on The USA Network.
Great times...
Hasselhoff was so tall, he leaped over Kitt's roof in the first minute!
That probably took several takes to get the shot.
Still is tall. The guy didn't shrink with age.
You don't need to be that tall to leap over the top of a car, they're very low set.
You just need a decent spring in your step.

Whoa! Never thought i'd hear a synth version of the Psycho score. One of the coolest and informative retrospectives on the Psycho house never even eluded to the fact that it was featured in Knight Rider. You have some splaining to do Cinnemassacre 😘

This was my absolutely favorite TV show as a kid... this scene is hilarious, where the most indestructible vehicle in the world, with a titanium frame and (polycarbonate?) plastics everywhere; still has a wiggly rubber dash panel (despite all the electronics) where Michael bangs his fist in frustration at 1:37. Priceless!
I grew up on KNIGHT RIDER in 80s it was definitely my favorite show in 80s
In the right lighting you can see all the scratches from every day use and swirly scuff marks from washing. This is after it was explained that it can be hit by a hammer and leave no marks. Also the car tends to "burn rubber" even though knives have been bent when the tires have been stabbed.

There's another scene in an episode where he bangs his fist against the outside of the door in anger and it dents.....imagine that

That was one of my favorite turbo boost jumps, and I hated that they stuck a commercial break in the middle. Probably to distract from the ridiculous way KITT looses the car on his scanners afterwards.

Adored knight rider as a kid, still do. Lol it plays out like 007S American brother. Ace gadgets/stunts/weird villains cool cars.
The way he slams the trunk he's going to destroy the mechanism that pulls the trunk lid automatically back. In these cars you're supposed to just put the trunk lid slowly into the pull-down mechanism which pulls it completely down.

Did anyone else notice the *Steering Wheel* in KITT at 0:42.?
It was a regular steering wheel.
The "yoke" wheel was really hard to do stunts with so you they used a little round steering wheel for better control.
Looks like the Hoff actually drove one of the stunt Trans Ams briefly when he slid over the top and jumped in. Look at the little steering wheel. I never noticed that back when this first aired or later when it aired in syndication in the 90s.

The house and mansion used in Psycho IV: A New Beginning was made in the early 1990s, years after this episode was made and was constructed at Universal Studios Florida (as a means of promoting the park as a production facility outside of Hollywood). It's more than likely they filmed that at the Universal backlot in California (as they had the house used in various productions, including Psycho II and Psycho III), as Universal Studios Florida didn't exist at the time this show was in production.
