very insightful

i agree
The reason why I love this channel, is because you do not use overly expensive tools and materials, like foamcutters, powertools, etc. You use simple and easily aquired materials with everyday tools. And you're not overly carefull with measurements which leads to some errors here and there, but all this together gives your builds something that a lot of others dont have: SOUL
yes but the paints... r.i.p. regular acrylic for modelism is enough
CZcams algorithm please show more people this channel
Let's hope for the best. Sometimes it actually gets a bit annoying when a video's success is determined almost purely by clickbaitiness and watch time.
It did 😅
I'm happy I found this channel 5 minitues ago
Your wish has been granted .
Agreed. The amount of work and passion that goes into his work needs to be seen by more of the table top gaming community.
The algorithm comes through sometimes. I started watching/listening to DnD lore channels and I guess the algorithm thinks I play DnD now. I have no intention to start playing DnD or other tabletop games like it, but making some of these builds might be fun just for the heck of it.
I always remind myself not to sweat missing some of the fallen bricks in a build. Good bricks and cut stones were that, good. So the farmer down the road took his wagon up and helped himself for building a small milking building.
"This is an overpriced paint that I regret buying"
This guy is gold
Oof, using miniature paints / washes on terrain....could get by so much cheaper with regular craft paint (and making his own washes like Jeremy from Black Magic Craft)
Right?! I love him so much hahaha
This was an enjoyable build, especially because I know I'll be using this much. I have started playing Frostgrave! But I think I won't make frost themed terrain... Summergrave?
kinda cool, yeah! go for summergrave!
Bard's Craft Autumn grave, with lots of flocking!!! Another great build man.
So did I, and I’m going for more of a Autumngrave theme, so that I can still use everything with Mordheim ;D
@@jagelsdorf1385 Autumngrave does sound nice. Many color options and so on.
A lot of my personal terrain is old west or desert themed so I play sandgrave. It's very adaptable!
What a cool build, wonderfully done!
Thanks!
Your channel is one of my latest discoveries. I follow channels like BMC but your tools much more similar to mine. With that, it’s easy to follow your instructions and replicate them. Keep up the good work friend! 👏🏻
I also much prefer this guy's format 🤙
Way more chill
Same here I love BMC but his builds and tools are for professional crafters now this channels is to my lvl of tools and money Incan spend
Amazing build! Super happy to have found your content, looking forward to binge watching everything!
This is a true piece of art!!!
That windmill looks really good!!!
love the simplicity and the look of the build. great job
Great job on this windmill! Turned out beautiful. I appreciate your creative tips!
So so cool! Brilliant build. Great music!
Very nice! I would love to make a windmill of my own after seeing how you did this. Thanks for sharing.
One of most wonderful crafts you've did, dude. Applauding with my feet because my hands are busy applauding.
This is a great build. Probably your best so far. Keep it up. I'm looking forward to seeing the flocking on this one!
this is an outstanding job, you're one of the best crafters I know. Thanks a lot for the ideas and inspiration
He does great work.
I really enjoyed and appreciated your video this project looked great I want to see part 2 of this build finish
Your wood colour was perfect! I love this build!
Awesome; thanks for this! Party likely getting to Old Bonegrinder next session; I'm almost done the build and it looks great. Great timing!
I love how this is such a simple yet really cool looking build. You might consider in the future running some sandpaper over the slick s outer surface of the Pringles can to help the paint adhere better.
I came to see your build and loved it for not only that but your humour as well. Glad I found this channel
Amazing work man! You are starting to inspire me to do my own tabletop maps like this :D
Thanks for sharing and teaching your ways!
I do not play D&D or any sort of tabletop gaming, but I was looking for ideas for just building mini fantasy dioramas and came across your channel. This was such a joy to watch and I love your art. Absolutely beautiful! You certainly get a sub from me. Keep up the awesome work, dude!
I love this one. Possibly the best you did so far! Keep it up :D
Great windmill..been thinking of trying this myself...this video boost my confidence
This is my favouritie build yet! Awesome job
I am in awe! This is amazing! Great job!
First watch for your channel, after one of my viewers recommended you. I used to work in a windmill so this this was a great start! I love your deadpan style, and some mad skills! I definitely need to try the foam brick method. Looks effective!
I love this delightful build! It has such character and your attention to detail is fantastic. I am off to find a cylindrical bit of rubbish to attempt this! Thank you for the video.
I do find that keeping a medium/fine grit sandpaper handy is useful to take the surface texture off of sealed cardboard. It also helps the washes and paints adhere quickly for those deep grooves that are hard to cover.
Not only is it a great build but gives out helpful hints on how to work with wood sticks and the like.
This is such a nice build. Love it a lot. This should be super versatile.
Versatile indeed, lots of places to place minis and this also works for a modern setting. Really happy with it.
Beautiful build, nicely done!
Taking some fine sandpaper to the outside of the pringles tube makes it hold paint a little better.
That would certainly work
I was working on a mausoleum diorama design. I got creatively stock but your video, dear Lucas, had the solution I needed. Thanks!
Once again Bard you made a remarkable piece of terrain literally at no cost. Your videos are a great inspiration to guys who can’t afford expensive pieces for their boards. Your videos also make me smile as you don’t take it too seriously. Keep up the good work Bard. 👍😁
wow amazing! me and my family gather round every week to watch the new videos. it's the highlight of our week
Glad to hear that, thanks!
Well done, entertaining and informative all at one time. keep up the excellent work.
this is probably my favourite build so far, keep up the good work!
I tell that to myself every time!
Amazing build! I definetly will try to rebuild this one
Cool work man, I can hear those sails creaking from here.
You are insanely creative, keep up the good work.
That's an amazing build. Good job!
Beautiful piece!
This was so cool! Exellent work mate!
This was great to watch I thought you did an amazing job of this and by the time you have made all the accessories and added them it will finish that beautifully, don’t forget to add a little bit of tattered dirty cloth to the sails of the windmill it will really make it look cool as well..Great video 😀
Thanks for the idea :)
I always see other types of these larger pieces online but the prices for them are crazy high. Watching your video really helped me realize how easy and affordable it can really be. Thank you for the great ideas and I hope to continue seeing your creations!
I enjoy your channel and the creativity you bring to the craft.
Creative and wonderful work, congrats!
Been binge watching your builds, and they are amazing - next thing I'm building is a windmill for sure!
His cannel is great!
Thanks for the tutorial, I’ve made mine and its very impressive! Thanks for the video!
Love your commentary throughout like R.I.P brush. Also as someone who has recently finished Curse of Strahd I can say you've really done Old Bone Grinder justice! Great details with making it all crooked and it's wonderful to see how accessible the supplies you used are. It's good to know you can make something so cool with just a humble Pringles tube, oat box, foam and ice lolly sticks. Oh yeah... and a whole lotta glue!
"Don't cut toward your hand" *immediately cuts toward his hand*
But seriously, I LOVE watching and doing stuff like this. I'm super glad I came across your channel. These are AMAZING and inspiring. Now I want to get foam to work with.
Thank you for posting this. Followed it fairly precisely and very happy with the results. My skills are still rough but with the right techniques, even peasants can craft well. Thank you!
one of your best builds so far
you are amazing! thank you so much for all of your great content! I'm a newer DM and I love 3d terrain. and I can't tell you how helpful your videos are in helping me make beautiful "peasent" level terrain out of cardboard, popsicle sticks, and dill! I just made my first modular broken ruins set using a little foam and dill. your painting and texturing tutorials helped make them look above and beyond! I wish I could post pictures here to show you. thank you again I love your content! long live the oats! ❤️
Glad you like the vids, you can post into the discord chat. (link in description)
Another great build... Never played Frostgrave, but love the terrain. Thanks,
So simple but looks so great. I’m making this tonight just to set on my desk.
I like the more detailed approach from this video. In the past your builds where often to "simple" for me :D NICE WORK
I really enjoy watching these videos! I find them informative and really clear explanations! Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic work!!!
I’m not sure how this came up on my list, but I’m glad it did! Great job dude!
Very cool. Great job!
This looks so good!
WOW! Is amazing, realy beatyful, thaks a lot for share!!
The craftsmanship is amazing, and I love the raggy look the wood ends up having! Dear lord this is an amazing and simple technique.
The only thing I don't really like is that the playability of the piece is really really limited, but that can be easily solved with scaling it up and having larger openings
This is an awesome build! I’m building it this weekend.
Hey great! Good luck
somehow CZcams recomended me this channel, very relaxing to watch, somewhat reminds me of primitive technology. subscribed
This dude has helped me take inspiration from my school projects
I found xps and I‘m so happy I can recreate your great projects now! 😄
Best build so far! I love your videos
Ultimate style of making bricks. .
Great innovative mind. .
Quite impressive ! Good job !
This would make a really good dice tower, which is a build I would love to see! You have a great channel and even better builds!
Spin the mill to roll dice, eh? :D
I'm so disappointed I discovered this channel before lock down and couldn't get any xps foam
Not sure if they'll ship it
@@charleslucas1026 TEAR YOUR WALLS APART. ITS IN THERE
Your finest build yet.
Try the egg carton instead. If that fails you can always cut away the bottom of the windmill and craft with foam later :D
@@charleslucas1026 they will ship it. but only in 12 inch squares. I got 4 squares 12"x12" and 1/2" thick for $22 on Amazon. Free shipping for Prime members. it's enough to make all the dungeon tiles I want, Stone/Wood/Cave
looks great!
The Bonegrinder encounter in CoS... brings back horrible but yet wonderful gameplay memories. I just love Bard's take on this pivotal scenery! And his elfish accent. This guy's got the whole package.
Elfish accent :D I'm okay with that
Another amazing build!
great windmill I am going to try this but will use a large card coffee cup for the lower stone section so it is tapered
Another mans Trash is Another Mans Wind Mill! THIS IS PERFECT MAN! I so Love your junk workshop! Perfect Ideas !! Hope Your Well.. be SAFE!!!!
Amazing work as usual!
This is magnificent!
Great Build! Loving this channel:)
First video of yours I've watched. Great work. Going to try make myself one!
I really admire your work.
I love that damn knife you use for all your cutting. I have a hotwire table and other tools but I just had to use your link and buy that knife. And it just came in the mail yesterday! Can't wait to see what I can do with it!!
This is an incredible build
That looks great.
Outstanding performance
I don’t understand why anyone would dislike this video.
Awesome build! You have inspired me, I am now drawing up some buildings and terrain for a Warhammer board. Thank you, and continue to make great models!
You're welcome. Good luck with the builds!
Thank you! Do you have any ideas for a metallic-based map? I want to design a liquid-silverey river, but I’m not sure how to get a good looking one.
Awesome!!
Really nice build
Really beautiful!
Thanks :)
Great job !!
Fantastic! 👏👏👏👏👏
This is an awesome build
Dude that was brilliant! :)
really cool job!
Wicked. Perfect addition to my village display. Subbed also, diving into your other vids as we speak!
Thanks. Welcome to the channel :)
Top notch, man. I liked your use of foam bricks. Your European XPS looks slightly more rubbery than the stuff available here in the US. I've been building a lot of MDF kits recently and realized that oil-based stain you used on the wooden parts of your windmill might look good on the buildings I've made. I'm going to give it a shot. I'll remember to buy the cheaper stuff at the home goods store. Thanks for the pro tips. Cheers, --Bo
