The Dramatics, ”Soul Train” performance of one of my favorites from them, “Welcome Back Home” edited and dubbed with the track from their album, “10½” (1980).
These are some bad-ass brothers. Everytime I hear their music..I feel so good. Sometime, I almost wanna cry. They just bring that emotion. R.I.PARADISE, Ron💖😇
The thing about this is that it’s such beautiful music that it brings you back to a time when life was a little more innocent and less complex…makes you think about people that aren’t with us anymore… sadness and happiness at the same time… That’s why this music goes STRAIGHT TO THE HEART…That’s entertainment.
Ron Banks lead of the Dramatics singer on this single hit, gave his best performance on Soul Train in the early 1980's!! This generation cannot even compare to this performance! Bernard Hendricks
Listening to The Dramatics makes me wish I had a time machine I want to go back in time the soul music of the seventies is awesome and The Dramatics are awesome❤❤❤🎉
Kudos to the Dramatics Group, Singers, Musicians & Writers. UNSUNG! Rest in Heavenly Peace those members who have passed on. Gone never Forgotten. ☮️✝️🎤🎵🔝❣️
The Dramatics, just loved them. Ron was truly something else, and it wasn't just his wondrous first tenor, so much more: style, grace, charisma, humour and humility, he had it all in abundance. The seamless interchange with Lenny, they were made for each other. Lenny, it's all been said, what a voice and seriously underused in my humble opinion. This is an interesting lineup of the group. Obviously, no Wee Gee or LJ, but bass lynchpin Willie is there along with group choreographer Squirrel (love those moves), and new boy Craig Jones. Craig featured on the album 'The Dramatic Way', LJ was with the group for the 10 1/2 album from which this is lifted. Both albums came out in 1980 on MCA Records. Incidentally the group were down to four for 'The Dramatic Way' with no Squirrel or LJ. Same again in 1982 for ‘New Dimension’, after which Craig left.Anyway, thanks for the music, and Rest in Peace, Ron, Lenny, Willie and Wee Gee, gone but never forgotten.
This song is sooo meaningful it hurts. Dramatics sang the most emotional, true songs. They were and are out of sight and levels above most guy groups. Yes I said it. ❤
The Dramatics was a phenomenal group from the 70s. I remember them from Stax record days What you see is what you get , through the 70s they was one of the many groups of that era .love their style of music. THANKS BROTHERS FOR SHARING YOUR MUSIC WITH US!!! RICHARD SHACKELFORD
WeWe Howard (one of the original singers) was probably the best overall singer; he could hit notes the rest of the group couldn't not hit. He led on their first hit: What you see is what you get and in the rain.
I love all of the Dramatics each of them had there on way of bringing their own trajectory to their music 🎶 🎵 ❤️ it was amazing to listen to them all. Listen to the live from Houston video it shows you how well they were keeping it together.
I love great singing and great groups. I've listened to a lotta music. I've heard many great groups. In my opinion, there has never been a group of guys that had such a great and complimentary sound. Detroit's Dramatics are at the top of the Pyramid. 💥💥💥
Love ❤️ this classic beautiful 🤩 song 🎵 by this Amazing 🤩 R&B Singing Group!!! The Dramatics!!! Yyyesss Sir Welcome 🤗 Back Home 🏡 When Music 🎶 was Music 🎵
I Love! Love! The Mighty Dramatics. Seeing Ron, Lenny, and Willie(Sugar Bear) bring tears to my eyes. Larry is still here(who can dance his butt off). It's also great to see Craig.

The Dramatics Welcome Back Home song is a classic. Nice performance in Soul Train television show. Where is L.J. Reynolds? RIP Ron Banks. RIP Lenny Mayes. RIP Willie Ford. L.J. There's nothing wrong with L.J. Reynolds leaving The Dramatics to do solo albums. Black men leave music groups to do solo albums. And they never come back to the music groups like Jeffrey Osborne of L.T.D., Lionel Richie of The Commodores, Michael Jackson of The Jacksons(RIP), Teddy Pendergrass of Harold Melvin And Blue Notes(RIP), Babyface of The Deele LOL. In 1980 while everyone else was disco crazy, the Dramatics weren’t afraid to be smooth, and that’s why they’re one of my all time favorite male groups
