- Is your car leaving an oil puddle in your driveway? In this episode of Kelvin's Garage, we are trying out Lucas Engine Oil Stop Leak on the 8th gen 2006-2011 Honda Civic! We have been dealing with a leak for quite some time and the bottom of my over 250k-mile engine is coughing up oil and residue. Since this is our daily driver, we don't have time to properly inspect and diagnose the engine oil leak. So, let's try Lucas Engine Oil Stop Leak instead. They claim that it works so let's give it a fair shot!

UPDATE!!!
czcams.com/users/shorts-HKfe4_bHvI
After about 7500 miles of driving, I checked the undercarriage during an oil change to see if the Lucas Engine Oil Stop Leak worked. Last oil change, we wiped it pretty clean, but this time it looks like there's still come oil residue collecting at the bottom. So either (1) the Lucas doesn't work or (2) it took some time to work and the oil is from shortly after I used the Stop Leak. The oil + Stop Leak has been drained now so I'll give you another update in another 7500 miles as to whether the leak has stopped or not.
Any new updates?
There is any update?
That's a VTEC solenoid gasket leak. Very common in 8th gen civic. Almost every civic has that leak. This is the part number for the gasket 15826-RNA-A01.
Got an 04 altima v6 with rear timing cover leak... going to try this in it and see if it works
I tried the blue devil stop leake only helped a lil,so I'm gonna try this in my 2012 Nissan Altima will come back & let you know how it worked 🤞
Wow.. thanks for demonstrating how to pour oil into the crankcase.
If that's all you gotta out of this video, then you need to go back to school.😂
hello dear friend thanks for the review, this additive help solving oil burning and white smoke problem? and thanks a lof
I put this and made the smoke thicker and the car started knocking hope it doesn't catch fire or blow.
That Lucas stuff to me is the best on the planet. I love using Lucas products. Did it stop the leak?
Is there any changes from your last update? Video please.
I put Lucas oil stop leak in my protein shakes and I’ve never seen so many gains .
Should plug up all holes. Pee and butt
Any updates? Did it stop the leak?
I used this on my last oil change and i've noticed that while driving and the car is hot the oil level is much lower than when the car has been sitting and cold. Is this normal for this product? I think for it to read normal while the car is running it would have to be overfilled quite a bit when the car is off.
What about using on VW ?
did not work my 2005 toyota camry v6. Had to replace the valve cover gaskets.
Hey Kevin's Garage, how did it go?
Are you open to product review that related to Auto led lighting?
It did not work with my BMW 2008, it’s still burning oil spoil my spark in cylinder 3.

Well I wonder where the leak is really coming from. Scotty also suggests AT-205 for seals.
I had a similar leak in the exact same spot as the one in the video and it turned out to be the VTEC solenoid gasket leaking from behind the engine. Apparently that's a common leak in 8th gen civics.
Thanks for the tip! I may check that out in a future video
@@striving4glory705 lmfao, stop leak is the ultimate fix
@@kelvinsgarageyou gotta try the new ATS Fuel and Oil Treatment. Scotty Kilmer from here on youtube knows one of the guys who created the products. Go to their website and read the reviews. Also Scotty Kilmer recommends AT-205 for rejuvenating rubber oil seals and gaskets. I've read nothing but great reviews on this product as well. Scotty does not take $ from anyone so when he recommends something, it's pretty much guaranteed to work. You should try the products out and do a video on the results.
Hey Kevin, my mechanic changed my oil about a month ago, because there was a leak. It is still leaking. He did not put the stop leaking oil, can I still use the stop-oil-leak by Lucas on the engine? Then how much. I don't want to have my mechanic charge me more for that simple solution. I paid him enough already.it is a 2006 Honda civic Hybrid. thank you.
you should be able to add stop leak to your existing engine oil but try not to overflow (check the dipstick)
I had just had an oil change a week before and then i added the Lucas stop leak. Now my engine is sounding funny. Kind of a humming sound. Did I do it wrong? Its also still leaking.
You over added oil. Supposed to do both at the same time and added accordingly to your car's oil capacity.
It had 4 qts of oil in it when changed. Should I have it drained and repeat? Thank you for responding
I did this to my accord 04 ex 2.4l yesterday ..
I think stop leak will just damage your engine, just emagine if it will stop the leaking therefore it will probably block small oil gallery inside the engine and will prevent oil to lubricate
