I had a severe oil leak from my truck's factory oil cooler. I would lose a quart in about 30 minutes. It was so bad that I lost oil pressure and my oil pressure gauge would bounce around. So, I would always keep it overfull knowing I'm constantly losing oil. Decided to try this Lucas additive. I start driving back home & sure enough my oil pressure gauge was still bouncing everywhere. I get home & there's oil everywhere. Parked it for the night, gave up on it. Next day I drive it to take my dad somewhere & realize my oil pressure was stable. I get home, look underneath & everything is dry. 2 months later, still no more oil leaks. Oil is a quart overfull though, because nolonger losing oil.

I have to say when you’re pouring in the Lucas the motor needs to be warm because otherwise it just drops him all the way down to the pan on the bottom and it’s not being used proper that’s my experience I’ve been working on cars ever since I was 14 I’m 63 and the other videos will tell you warm up the car driving around with a quart less you’re not gonna hurt it just warming it up then you put and while it’s running and keep it running for about 5 Minutes nine out of 10 you’ll have better results

My theory STOP N GO cause more leaks is that you have changing pressure from 0 to more pressure. And it just pushes oils more. Where as on highway you are already experiencing steady pressure as the engine runs at a non changing oil pressure mode … or at least it’s a more steady pressure as opposed to stop and go .

also check the PCV valve, if its in need of replacement it can be a contrib factor to a oil leak and oil consumption.

it had had a oil leak from valve cover that was fixed. and it has over 200K miles.

Lucas failed here. With an engine leaking that much oil, oil changes are not required. Just change the filter at the interval and keep topping up the oil. Its just going to leak out, so it wont be in the engine long enough to get used for 10k miles. Or you could always advise that the vehicle is repaired with a new gasket.
