This is honestly my favourite episode cause of the sheer amount of laughs I got out of it.
Randall's "I've never felt so alive" had me on the floor laughing and gretchen had a shit ton of good lines

The answer to that is something that couldn't be mentioned on this show for obvious reasons: having an accident at school. It's disgusting I know, but if a kid does something like like barf, crap, or piss themselves by accident at school, the humiliation would surpass ripping your pants at school by a long shot.

In middle school during recess, I was washing my hands at the low boys restroom sink. A good amount of water splashed the center of my trousers
I tried inverting them but that looked ridiculous, so I had a better idea. I turned the faucet back on and actually made the entire pants damp. It all dried at about the same rate and couldn't really tell the difference.
It always bothered me that, at the end, Finster is taking a sewing machine to titanium metal pants, instead of them just fetching Mikey's original pants, which would be easier to fix and far less damaged in the first place.
Also, not one kid on the playground can sew? Gus probably knows how to suture, and didn't the Ashleys make a pageant dress out of an old parachute once? Or the Hustler Kid, surely of all the things he can scrounge up at a moment's notice, pants wouldn't be the most difficult.
