I can say with almost 100% accuracy that I drew the Spider-man image on your thumbnail. I used to sell fan art on Ebay back in the early 2000's. Someone must have used it to make those shirts.

@@Khalifanirvana like I said I don't have the originals. I did find one similar image that was done earlier. Look at my blog, it's posted there. The one image I have is missing the raised piping from the Raimi version (it was from 1999). You can clearly see that it's my style.

I do remember having this SM3 shirt that was red and had Spidey in his web shooting pose, and wore it for a class photo. I'm not sure if I still have it but it was pretty cool.

16:42 ontop of that theyre very low quality reprints and these are also scams. once you buy they ask you for more money and if you dont then they cancel your order and block you. ive bought one as a test last week.

I see my art is all over the internet. I had NO idea! This is a surreal and strange way to go viral. Wow. I made NOTHING off these shirts, and have nothing to do with the bootlegs!
Well, all the images are official promotional work for the film. They are on dozens of products. Are you saying that the marketing team may have stolen your art?
@@creamfresh I doubt that the products being sold are authentic. And if so, they used my art without permission (or payment). Fan art isn't protected btw. That's a big reason I stopped doing it.
@@davejohnsonart1 With all due respect, the products are absolutely authentic. The art has been used on everything from toys to waffle boxes. All of which are dated and include trademarks, copyrights, logos that are all consistent. We have commercials from that era featuring the art. We have candid photos from that era featuring the art.
Yes, there are bootlegs like I showed in this video. However, they are obvious bootlegs because they lack the things that authentic ones have. I don't know what art you made back then, but it is a fact that art was used on official products.
@@creamfresh might be the case, but the drawing is not from the studio, its mine. I never drew for Sony and I never got paid from them!
@@creamfresh that's my point. Artists fan art can be ripped off without payment or even permission. I'm not the only artist who's experienced this. That is exactly why I stopped drawing other people's characters. I work for P&G and get very handsomely paid for my work (now). It's a lesson learned.
